As Trump appears to have flipped on the DACA amnesty, his base has gone into a frenzy. Breitbart is on fire. Hannity is foaming at the mouth. The Earth may have tilted off its axis a little bit. I really can't imagine what Trump is playing at there.

Yeah lionheart you have to be able to trust the judges for the system here to work - I don't think I'd feel so confident in it in the UK.

Pain I think those tweets are too right! He just wants to be in the limelight of his 'adoring' fans. He doesn't care who those fans are, as long as he has fans.

I thought uk voters on this thread might be interested in this petition, started yesterday. I voted remain, and definitely want a vote on accepting the actual deal once it's thrashed out, I'm many who voted leave also want a say on whether to accept the final deal.

I realise it will probably mean bugger all to our elective representative but I feel the better for signing it anyway (my voice will be heard, if only faintly).

I think that most Dems would be willing to use him, but never trust him. If he were to swear on his mother's grave that he'd had a Damascene Conversion and was now a true blue Dem, I still wouldn't trust him as far as I could spit into a Hurricane. But I'd sure as hell be willing to play along until I got what I wanted. Hypocritical? Maybe. But needs must when the Devil drives.

I must admit the Brexit thing confuses me, lettuce. I know what it is but it seems that the vote was not the 'end of the show'. That it can still be stopped? Or maybe that so many roadblocks/debates/conditions can be put on it that it just never gets 'done'?

It can be stopped and the EU has said as much but there isn't the political will in the uk to do so at the moment and the opposition have gone along with the government so there hasn't been much pushback to the current disastrous path we're hurtling along.
