DH and I were discussing how funny/not funny it would be if he announced "Yeah, being a Republican wasn't as fun as I thought it would be. I didn't really get to DO much. So I've decided I'm now a Democrat

I think I mentioned this possibility a few months ago.
It suddenly seems, not only plausible, as more likely.
The question is whether Democrats will want him as "their" president.

My best guess is he will be the first actual non-partisan President in the end. The funny thing will be if it will change future Presidential elections and power sharing between Democrats and Republicans.
The worrying possibility is if he forms his own personal party.
