To say Capri sun is not a adult drink?

So my lovely dad was going to the shops earlier and asked if I wanted anything. I said a non alcoholic drink of some kind (had a bit too much alcohol over the weekend). Couldn't think what I meant and he was rushing, but I said not a fresh juice but I had something at there's before that was a raspberry/summer fruits sparking drink, something like that.

Went to get a drink a bit ago and asked him if he'd got anything. He proudly hands me a box of summer fruits Capri suns.

I said why have you got them, they're kids drinks. He's adamant that they're not, lots of adults apparently drink them. They have a straw!!
I'm not unreasonable to say they're kids drinks am I?

He's actually sat drinking one now to prove me wrong 😂

I drink Capri suns? No idea what your talking about tbh - sorry OP!

SabineUndine · 03/09/2017 22:27

YABU! It wouldn't occur to me to categorise a drink as being for children.

Tiptoethr0ughthetulips · 03/09/2017 22:27

I like capri sun and I'm mid 30's. They do them with a nozzle now. YABU.

ShatnersBassoon · 03/09/2017 22:27

Your dad sounds like he knows his way around a soft drink. I like a Capri Sun.

nandostodayplease · 03/09/2017 22:27

My dh drinks them Grin

overandout80 · 03/09/2017 22:28

Full of crap no one should drink them

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 03/09/2017 22:29

I love Capri sun. We have a box in the fridge right now for me and dp to drink.

sparepantsandtoothbrush · 03/09/2017 22:30

I know what you mean OP. I remember a nearly 50 year old mum in the school playground drinking one waiting for pick up time and thought it was odd. But I also realise I have hang ups about that sort of thing!

YABU. Love a Capri Sun. Hate the sugar free ones though. Bleurgh.

TheAntiBoop · 03/09/2017 22:30

I'm with you OP!

Although I'm not a great fan of drinking out of small cartons like that!! Makes me think of childhood packed lunches

Amee1992x · 03/09/2017 22:30

They are fab for a hangover!

fluffygreenmonsterhoody · 03/09/2017 22:30

YABVU

Capri Sun is the drink of Gods.

ineedamoreadultieradult · 03/09/2017 22:31

Put them in the freezer until they go a bit slushy they are lovely!.We have a rule of someone is getting you something from the shop and you are not completely specific about what you want you can't moan when they don't read your mind.

PsychoPumpkin · 03/09/2017 22:31

They ARE a kids drink but it doesn't stop me sneaking one out of the box.

Mupflup · 03/09/2017 22:31

I buy them quite a lot, just for me!

Hermagsjesty · 03/09/2017 22:31

I bloody love a Capri Sun, me.

Emboo19 · 03/09/2017 22:32

NO! They have a straw. You wouldn't give one to a adult guest would you?

I refuse to accept he's right.. he looks ridiculous drinking it.

I love a Capri Sun but I do get what you mean. You meant a bottle green or something?

Brazenhussy0 · 03/09/2017 22:32

YABU. Aren’t they basically liquid sugar? Definitely not suitable for children.
Send them to me please

pimmsy · 03/09/2017 22:34

They're great for when you're very sick and bed bound, nearly impossible to spill, easy to hold and you can drink from the straw with the pouch just popped on your pillow. They were legend when I was in hospital!

ClandestineAdulation · 03/09/2017 22:35

YABU. Convenient for kids/lunch boxes but absolutely fine for adults!!

Are Ribena cartons 'kids' drinks' too?

Flatpeaches · 03/09/2017 22:36

YABU Capri suns are amazing. For most of my last pregnancy the orange flavour was all I could stand to drink due to hyperemisis!

YANBU.

Mind you even my kids refuse to drink them since they saw a video of one filled with mouldy sludge.
