To say Capri sun is not a adult drink?

So my lovely dad was going to the shops earlier and asked if I wanted anything. I said a non alcoholic drink of some kind (had a bit too much alcohol over the weekend). Couldn't think what I meant and he was rushing, but I said not a fresh juice but I had something at there's before that was a raspberry/summer fruits sparking drink, something like that.

Went to get a drink a bit ago and asked him if he'd got anything. He proudly hands me a box of summer fruits Capri suns.

I said why have you got them, they're kids drinks. He's adamant that they're not, lots of adults apparently drink them. They have a straw!!
I'm not unreasonable to say they're kids drinks am I?

He's actually sat drinking one now to prove me wrong 😂

I'm guessing you meant the Belvoir raspberry lemonade which is lush.

I've not had a capri sun for years. Tempted to try one now...

I agree with you. But then I also find adults who regularly drink fizzy drinks, a bit odd too.

I love Capri sun's, I always crave the orange ones when I'm poorly. Though the sugar free ones are nasty.

Capri Suns are a noble and versatile beverage. Stick it in freezer until semi frozen, remove it, add spirits - budget cocktail.

Also does anyone else hate when someone asks you to get them something from the shop but only give you the vaguest idea of what they actually want? Those people don't deserve the deliciousness of a Capri Sun.

I'm an adult and love capri suns.

But then again I also like the orange fruit shoots and think ribena tastes better from a carton than a bottle (FYI - The strawberry carton is the best when you can find it). Grin

I'm shocked at the love for Capri suns, he's even got a box of tropical ones as well!

But I still maintain if it's got a straw it's for children. I couldn't have sat with my Capri sun at the dinner table.

I went to a concert with my teenage kids last week and was the hero when I produced 3 Capri sun out of my handbag! No drinks with lids allowed but got away with Capri sun!

He's my dad though squoosh he's duty bound to look after me, even when I annoyingly don't know what I want.

Capri Sun. Empty all of them into a big jug. Mix approx 50/50 with vodka. Refill half the pouches. Stuff into freezer. Drink what's left. Pack van for festival. Pass out due to the effects of drinking vodka and Capri Sun. In morning, drive to festival with frozen vodka Capri Suns in the cold box. Set up camp. Come the evening, place vodka Capri Suns in bra and enter festival main stage area with a lovely source of cheap alcohol easily to hand. I am proud that I have been able to pass on this handy tip to my children in time for Reading Festival.

Thing is though they come with a straw because you cant drink them any other way unless you snip a corner off and pour it in a glass. I don't think they are adults or kids drink tbh ,they are very nice though imho Smile

I love Capri Suns and Fruit Shoots!

We have two boxes of Capri Suns in the fridge at the moment, along with Fanta, Dandelion & Burdock and fizzy Vimto.

Now I can guess where my dad gets his love of Capri suns from Alpaca. Although I've never been taught that trick.

But this talk of hangover drinks a Mc D's strawberry milkshake is the only drink to cure a hangover and I know you drink it from a straw, but it's in a cup so that's different.

This is very topical.

We went to a quiz at the weekend. I asked for an orange juice at the bar and was handed a Capri Sun. It was awful. Can't stand that kind of taste. I didn't want anything fancy - I just wanted a drink of juice from a carton but no.

You are definitely NBU OP. It's a child's drink.
