Did this on a course today. I am ISFJ and I was totally freaked out by the profile. It isn't sort of like me. It IS me. It's like somebody sat on my shoulder for a year and then described me. Anybody else had this?

INFP - the Mediator. My three kids seem to bloody think I have nothing better to do.

CheerfulYank · 24/08/2017 05:41

DH is an INFP and he thought it was all silliness until I read him the description. Wink

Fishfingersandwich9 · 24/08/2017 06:27

Another INTJ here... we're either not as rare as they say we are, or we are really attracted to internet threads about Myers Briggs so we have all gathered!

cod · 24/08/2017 06:29

Enfj. Of course.

Why would this be unreasonable?

motheroftwojedi · 24/08/2017 06:37

INFJ - very accurate description of my personality. Never met another one in RL though , nice to know there are others out there Smile

MiniMaxi · 24/08/2017 06:42

ESTJ here - one of the few on this thread by the looks of things!

Sunnysidegold · 24/08/2017 07:17

Infp.
Interesting thread...especially posts about the 'fences' and Barnum effect. It's still a fun test to do and my dh did one at work he is entj.ive always said we were opposites who balance each other out Smile. We read each other's profiles and I think it made us appreciate why we react in certain ways. Reliable or not it gave us a good starting point for a chat.

MouseholeCat · 24/08/2017 07:45

INTJ, DH is an INTJ too. There's a long-running joke at work that I'm the most likely team member to start and lead a cult. When I took the Myers-Briggs test and came out INTJ it all made sense!

MrsGabor · 24/08/2017 07:52

I'm ENFJ which describes me perfectly, even in my more negative character traits - and I went in quite sceptical.

That said I think I'm also an Introverted E and when I'm stressed I flip from J to P and make myself wildly anxious!

I know it's been debunked, but (anecdotally of course) nearly everyone I speak to about it has found it interesting

Magratmakethetea · 24/08/2017 07:53

INTP-T

TheNaze73 · 24/08/2017 07:55

ESTJ-A

StickThatInYourPipe · 24/08/2017 08:00

ENFP

StickThatInYourPipe · 24/08/2017 08:01

ENFP, -A/-T

CasparMum · 24/08/2017 08:14

INTJ - A, probably accurate.

AufderAutobahn · 24/08/2017 08:16

INFP. Smile

ButchyRestingFace · 24/08/2017 08:18

Just did it. I got INFP -A/-T.

MN is a sheltered playpen for introverts, if this thread is anything to go by. Grin

PaganGoddessBrigid · 24/08/2017 08:18

When people say it's been debunked that is not exactly right. Its more like it's no longer fashionable to use this info without emoyees being fully willing in the testing and open to discussing results. It is no longer comsidered quite cricket to dismiss an application because the applicant is the 'wrong' type for the role, typically.
Testing as part of an application process is unfashionable now.

kingfishergreen · 24/08/2017 08:22

INFJ.

motheroftwojedi we're probably everywhere, we just don't talk about it.

fourquenelles · 24/08/2017 08:26

Laurie the relief I feel once I have made the decision NOT to go to that party/gathering/event is tremendous. Like a huge weight has been lifted. PJS, ice cream and crap TV heaven!

PandoNoPants · 24/08/2017 08:29

INTJ - accurate Shock

theninjamonkey · 24/08/2017 08:32

INFJ here too.

TealStar · 24/08/2017 08:35

ENFP. Scarily accurate!

GavelRavel · 24/08/2017 08:35

COMMANDER
(ENTJ-T)

which sounds a bit scary.

so are there any tests for the newer more accepted personality type. I find it quite interesting as I consider myself a nice person but i always seem to come out as a monster/dictator/psychopath.

HateSummer · 24/08/2017 08:46

I'm an ISTJ. The duty fulfiller. Quite accurate.

WhooooAmI24601 · 24/08/2017 08:51

ESFJ the Consul; warm, kind, sociable.

It's bollocks, I know that, but I just handed it to DH and he agrees that if you had to break down each section of my life you'd come up with similar results.
