Okay so I wasn't going to post until I'd had some kind of resolution. However, planning called today to ask if they could access my garden on Friday as they need to do some "further investigation" and have another planning official who will be there to oversee it??

They wouldn't tell me over the phone what it was about (it wasn't Nice Planning Lady, it was someone I hadn't spoken with before)

@Watty my guess would be that PP is correct about English Heritage, esp if the overall building is particularly prized/part of conservation area as well as listed.

Have we had the paella and sangria recipes yet? And are NNDN (50ish - close enough to be Mark Harmon :)) and Abuela now an item??

neo yes the flats which own the gardens all have doors similar to mine. The ones which do not own gardens have windows exactly the same as the one that was knocked out. If that makes sense?

I presume that the properties that have a door and a garden (which would of been a courtyard) have them because that was how the original property was set out. So OP, flat 6 , 4 and 3 (going by the diagram) all have a garden.

minx pretty much, which I know may seem "unfair" to be looking out on to someone else's garden but this is obviously reflected in price.
