Done to death previously but always new members joining!

I am not famous, dont have any celebrity friends. It fascinated by what it must be like to be famous or have famous relatives or friends!

Anyone willing to spill any beans tonight to cheer me up!

"My DH has a boom for sale"

I want a boom now. A big, furry one to wave over people's heads like on telly.

GreeboIsACutePussPuss · 02/08/2017 00:57

Did you get to snog one of them? Sadly not, I was 11. Shane smiled at me though.

Gannicusthemannicus · 02/08/2017 01:01

My parents were famousish in their prime, in the music industry. They used to do a lot of recording and songwriting at home so I used to come home from school to find random famous musicians having a cup of tea and digestives in the kitchen. As such I know some people here and there.

In my experience it just makes people dislike you if they know you've met certain people though, or they want to spend time with you in hope you tell them all their secrets. Best to keep quiet.

And I will never stop finding it strange when people talk about my parents on message boards and whatnot. They are just my mum and dad!

Partybags let me know what you discover. GrinMy mum's books sell worldwide - translated versions obviously, still sell on Amazon and are probably in local libraries up and down the country. I get the royalties from each sale/download and library lend. I loved her dearly and it's both a comfort and disconcerting that her books have lived beyond her and that, especially on Amazon, people write reviews that make her still seem alive. I can't explain it but I find it comforting and upsetting. The strange thing is, she wrote under a pseudonym and although she had 40 ish books published, most people in her everyday life and close friends didn't know she was a published author.
The confectionary side of the family make something that is in every newsagent/grocer/supermarket.

"Sadly not, I was 11"

I tried to give Lloyd Cole a kiss on the cheek on my thirteenth birthday, but the miserable twat he wouldn't let me. I've been dejected and heartbroken ever since. I should send the cunt my therapist's bills.

MommaGee · 02/08/2017 01:07

I've come to like Lloyd Cole as an adult as DH likes him. Then saw a photo when he was younger. He was HOT! don't blame you for trying but bless him for not wanting a court case. Consider it him being a gentleman

intergalacticbrexitdisco · 02/08/2017 01:08

I'm Peter Andre. I'm here for the baby oil reviews, and 'cause I love my kids.

MommaGee · 02/08/2017 01:10

Yo Pete I had my first slow dance to your hit

cantthinkofabloodyname · 02/08/2017 01:10

I'm just very unimaginative & plain

liz70 · 02/08/2017 01:20

It's Peter Andrex!

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, Mysterious Turd, I wanna get close to you!

BoysofMelody · 02/08/2017 01:33

I used to be on BBC1 every Monday night.

Was it Crimewatch's most wanted?

Henriettacat · 02/08/2017 01:35

My ex partners dog was from the same litter as the (then) Andrex puppy.

Ciaovenora · 02/08/2017 01:42

Not me, I've few famous mates also met lots of well known people over the years, some very nice others incredibly obnoxious.

MommaGee · 02/08/2017 01:47

Hook from Swashbucklers squirted my bottom with his big water gun

TheWeeWitch · 02/08/2017 01:47

We have a very famous person living in our village.

Does that count?

Ciaovenora · 02/08/2017 01:52

Used to hang out with Lloyd in NY.

duracellred · 02/08/2017 01:57

I am related to a famous 'Uptown Girl'.

MommaGee · 02/08/2017 02:00

Used to hang out with Lloyd in NY.
Hope you weren't 13

Cocklodger · 02/08/2017 02:02

My husband (seperated) was on a few cooking shows years ago, He's a chef with his own restaraunts (not Gordon Ramsay Grin ).
A few people would recognise him as that bloke who did x y and z but very few. I don't know if that counts as famous Grin

liz70 · 02/08/2017 02:02

"Used to hang out with Lloyd in NY."

That was years later. I was soo over him by then.

Mrsknackered · 02/08/2017 02:05

A few of my friends have very famous parents. Father's in big bands, etc.
My DS is getting a bit famous (he's young) and his dad is too. My voice is but my face certainly isn't.
Unfortunately we are all still poor!

duracellred · 02/08/2017 02:13

Oh and a very famous chef today served me my lunch on most days when I worked for an American bank in London (years ago).

supersop60 · 02/08/2017 02:33

I used to work in theatre and have some famous friends (at least, famous in the business, perhaps not household names).
It really annoys my DC when i say "I know him/her" when someone comes on the telly.
I am not famous.

Tapandgo · 02/08/2017 02:57

I'm a legend in my own lifetime

Firefries · 02/08/2017 03:17

These posts are funny but the truth is no one can really say who they are, or who they know as it's a bit of a give away. So even though it's anonymous I don't think it changes much. In a more general thread you could put in a comment or two but you're not really going to say you actually know someone who is famous or say that you actually are famous. Sorry to deflate the thread.
