Ilovepartybags - bet you like PrinceGeorgeTheCutest's user name, hey?! Being George's grandmother and all? .

I say this as, with your user name (& the clear association with your online party supplies business), you are obviously Kate's mum Grin

MrsSchadenfreude · 02/08/2017 00:31

Partybags - is your username a ginormous hint as to who your famous daughter is?

user1483390742 · 02/08/2017 00:31

I'm Brian... and so is my wife...!

Ilovepartybags · 02/08/2017 00:32

Oh shit - major nc fail!!

Whoops

Lynnm63 · 02/08/2017 00:33

I don't know anyone famous, I'm not famous, the only person I've ever met who was famous was Prince Philip and he must have met millions of people on official visits.

centreyourself · 02/08/2017 00:34

Absolutely. I'm not famous, but I'm not assertive enough to properly speak my mind irl, whereas I can on here.
I know people whom I know have to be veeerry circumspect irl - could possibly lose their job if they caused offence.
It's the grown-up version of a child's fantasy of being invisible or was that just me?

PomBearWithAnOFRS · 02/08/2017 00:34

Oooo, I don't know. I don't think so, afaik "my" writer is still alive and kicking and writing. I shall have to Google now though to make sure!

Ilovepartybags · 02/08/2017 00:34

Percy when I'm not so tired I'm going to research your entire family history and work out who you and your cousin are. I might take me a couple of days - being the summer holidays and all!

JuneJuly

No my computer screwed up, I was asking party a question and then was replying to a PM on facebook. My laptop is haunted, I swear

GreeboIsACutePussPuss · 02/08/2017 00:37

Not to brag or nothing but I sang on a Westlife track/in the video.
I was on Rosie and Jim too, and have played an instrument in front of the Queen and have been interviewed on BBC news multiple times, as well as in a number of magazines (for charity work)

I am totally the most famous person here Grin

JuneJuly · 02/08/2017 00:37

A few x-posts at the top of this page!

MommaGee · 02/08/2017 00:39

Did you get to snog one of them?

PrinceGeorgeTheCutest · 02/08/2017 00:40

Granny be nice. I'm ordering party supplies for Ludo's birthday!!
Am I your favourite grandchild? Even when Aunt Pippa has lots?

FerretsAreFeminists · 02/08/2017 00:40

I'm in a couple of videos on YouTube. Does that count?

GirlOnATrainToShite · 02/08/2017 00:41

Ooh I know the lady who was Rosie of Rosie & Jim Grin

Welshmaenad · 02/08/2017 00:41

My OH sort of is, but only within the sphere of a niche interest, so I'm not really sure if that counts. He got recognised on a bus once though Grin

liz70 · 02/08/2017 00:43

I'm an utterly boring and anonymous suburban SAHM myself. I was in the same form as tv sports presenter Sally Nugent and former Russell Group director Wendy Piatt (waves to Sally and Wendy if they're here Grin).

MissNorfolk · 02/08/2017 00:44

I've seen TV sports presenter Jake Humphrey's erect penis - does that count?

MommaGee · 02/08/2017 00:45

My DH has a boom for sale on Amazon and one of my good friends has been on The One Show and Ready, Steady, Cook and local news. Thats it. My own son has been in the paper more than me haha

nakedscientist · 02/08/2017 00:46

I'm a household name.........

...............in my household Grin

WildBelle · 02/08/2017 00:46

I had my autobiography published, but it was about what a disaster my life's been rather than because I'm famous.

And it was under a pseudonym, for legal reasons. Sold pretty well though.

So not really famous at all.

As you were Grin

EWAB · 02/08/2017 00:46

I hate these threads! People are obsessed with the famous. A very close in-law is a household name; it has destroyed the natural rhythms of family life. Accusations made to another newer in-law that they had sold stories. Extended family literally looking over your shoulder to see if the other one is coming into a party as well, a party that you probably wouldn't have been invited to if not for the connection. Major difference in lifestyle. Never ever tell my friends so I can't have a natural conversation with them. Events like son's 'landmarks' are compromised as on the one hand you don't know to invite them but dread them coming, but they never do as utterly paranoid about everyone. This country in particular is obsessed with celebrity and everyone acts weirdly and without dignity.
