The shortened version of my CFN story is that our old downstairs' neighbours (Victorian stone villa, converted into two dwellings, split horizontally, front garden communal, back garden split left and right) wanted all 6 wheelie bins at the entrance to our side of the garden. Couldn't possibly according to them have them at the bottom of the communal driveway as "that's what the Asians do" and "our daughter's view from her bedroom affected if you put them on the pathway around the house" even though we owned that pathway

Also tried to sell one of the original coal garden sheds in our garden when they sold their house.

Fortunately our new neighbours are lovely even if the first conversation we had to have with them was "we do know where the key to the shed is but it's ours" - and the bins (all 8 of them as there is now also a wheelie bin for glass for each household) are now down at the bottom of the driveway (But given that one of the couple is Scottish Asian although their predecessors had described them as "a lovely couple, he's Malaysian, they're both GPs", their prejudices have been confirmed )

I left the DC to their own devices for much of yesterday while reading these threads and others linked they were outside playing with the council kids and their goats, another thread entirely. Today I HAVE TO get stuff done!!!

I needed to both "watch this thread" AND "Bookmark" the last post I read. I tried this, but if I do that, I don't get e-mail alerts, it doesn't show up on my watching list, and doesn't take me to the post I bookmarked .
