I can't believe this is the fourth thread.

To summarise: CFN have seemingly done a disappearing act, my friend is now OUTSIDE the shop but still talking to the shop owner man.

I'm waiting on the wine I can see in her hand.

Just out of curiosity, do you think they have done a lot of refurb work inside the house - or is it just the window/door job they would be in trouble for.

If the owner is chinese/Korean hey may not have a clue they have broken any rules. I certainly wouldn't know anything about foreign property, but then possibly wouldn't be buying it!

Wow what a saga! Do you think the CFN could be from abroad and have no idea about listed buildings? I'm not from the UK and had no idea that was a thing until now! But saying that, I'm sure its something you would come across in the piles of paperwork and meetings with lawyer when you're buying a new property

If the owner didn't know, the builder should definately have known or told the owner to look into it due to its serious punishments

Wasn't there a grade 1 listed place next door? Maggie Smith could be the lady of the manor there.

Even if neighbours aren't from the U.K. Surely any solicitor guiding them through the sale would have explained the lisited building rules and regulations!
