I can't believe this is the fourth thread.

To summarise: CFN have seemingly done a disappearing act, my friend is now OUTSIDE the shop but still talking to the shop owner man.

I'm waiting on the wine I can see in her hand.

@FoxtrotSkarloey I have about 25 names ... It only highlights the old names for me when I go browsing back.

People change nicknames for various reasons - most usually to talk about serious shit stuff that they don't want mixed up with the usual banter about the hilarious thing that happened on the school run. I've used other nns for talking about what to do when a family member was being awful due to drug dependency for instance.

MNHQ are the only people who can access old nicknames, this is how they can appear and tell us that @xyz is actually a regular. Or not.

TakestheCake, change your settings so you get 1000 posts on one page, then use control+f and put in the OP's name.

@TakesTheCake if you are using an old fashioned PC with old fashioned web browser go to My Mumsnet and keep scrolling around, there should be a bit near the bottom of somewhere about viewing options, you should be able to highlight your own contributions and the OP contributions in various jolly colours. I use forest green for OP and a fetching pinky purple for my own.

You may need to remember your own password to do this. I can't, which is why I've been AlpacaLypse for about 4 years now.

We're all invested in what's going on - and we're all rooting for you - but you really don't have to keep updating, if that's making things in RL difficult for you.

SO friend spent an absolute AGE in the shop for no other reason that to extract info from NSK (nice shop keeper)

He said that he has been seeing comings and goings for a while now and didn't know what to make of it. There's been an unmarked white van parked outside between the hours of 9 and 5 ish roughly (when I'm at work) and they leave for an hour each lunchtime. He knows the score! 😂

He said he has seen a young lady going in and out maybe 2 or 3 times, he thought she may be Chinese but couldn't be sure. I don't know how the hell my friend was there for as long as she was but that's all she got!

I do not know if this helps the situation or not.

A couple of hours away and there's another 23 pages! Probably going to cry when none of them are CFNs returning 😣

Wow. Finally made it through all the threads. Worried when all OP posts vanished, then sighed with relief OP was ok and even a happy dance when OP returned.......sigh.....I'm sure there are 3 other people in my house but not seen them for hours......weird.
