I can't believe this is the fourth thread.

To summarise: CFN have seemingly done a disappearing act, my friend is now OUTSIDE the shop but still talking to the shop owner man.

So I have 2 theories 1 friend and shop keeper are Barry and Julia and have kidnapped Wattyyy so their shame can't be shared with the world!! Or shop keeper and friend hit it off a quickie and then he gave them enough free alcohol that wattyyy and her friend are now way to drunk to update!

I'm guessing wine has taken over!

There was another one about cancelling a cheque, which was the obvious answer to that OP's problem and that everyone kept shouting, to no avail. People mention 'cancel the cheque' when a solution is obvious but the OP doesn't accept it.

But the point about 'cancel the cheque' in that thread was that people kept saying it, despite the fact that the OP had said in her first post that the cheque had been already been paid out . So it wasn't a solution the OP didn't accept, it wasn't a solution at all.

Planner here. I have just been reading these threads with interest. In my opinion Listed Building Consent is required for any alterations to a Listed Building. The planning department would require plans and details of materials. If the CFNs are making internal changes they would also need to run these past the planners LBC may be required for those too. Carrying out work on a Listed Building without permission is a criminal offence. If they apply retrospectively for LBC you will be able to obiect when the application has been lodged with the planners. Also should they ignore the planners then enforcement action would be likely. In your place I would write to the leasholders and complain about the potential loss of privacy and enjoyment of your garden by virtue of overlooking.

The garden issue is not a planning issue and if they ignore your objections after you have shown documentation you need to contact a solicitor. If the flats are leasehold they may also have to get the permission of the leaseholder.

Yes, all relating to the same outlandish situation. So why the different name threads? Is it just for entertainment value now? Genuinely curious.

Vango - I like your thinking. Tennant and Scott could, at the very least, work in the planning office where the air con has broken so they are forced to be shirtless. Olivia Coleman just puts up with it.

I started reading this while waiting for a transfer to the airport in turkey last night, I've had two hours sleep since 9am yesterday morning but don't want to go to bed and miss something happening 😂
