CFN patio doors onto my private garden thread #3

Wattyyyy · 28/07/2017 12:22

Okay I thought I'd start this for when they inevitably show their faces!!

Sorry all the threads have different titles Confused

I have a slight update - I managed to catch the nice neighbour at the other side (I think he'd heard the commotion and was loitering about waiting for me Grin )

He was gobsmacked! Apparently he's lived here for thirty years and has never heard anything like it. I told him I'd keep him updated and he asked if i wanted to come in for a cup of tea, I politely declined hahahah. Glad I now have a nice normal neighbour on my side!

I've given up trying to think of an original way to write this:
Place marking Grin

QueenOfThorns · 28/07/2017 13:08

OP, this has been the highlight of my day off! I hope it all gets sorted without too much more hassle for you.
I just wanted to check whether you'd managed to secure the doors somehow, so the CFNs and their builders can't get into your garden if you have to go out?

cjt110 · 28/07/2017 13:09

shock shock shock "Barry, it's our fucking house!" This made me chortle out loud.

MineKraftCheese · 28/07/2017 13:09

Barry 😂

AlltheGinJoints · 28/07/2017 13:09

Congratulations on an absolutely magnificent set of threads OP, you will surely go down in MN history. You are a legend!

Placemarking for the tiniest snippet of an update

WipsGlitter · 28/07/2017 13:10

Shameless place mark!

FMLpassthegin · 28/07/2017 13:11

Hilarious if the builder got the wrong flat and was meant to replace the doors to the garden flat on the OTHER side of them! Did the planning folk leave them a sweet note? Or a guide on how to create an indoor garden?

pamplemoussed · 28/07/2017 13:11

What time is planning man from council turning up? Or did I miss that visit?

CraicMammy · 28/07/2017 13:11

I keep imagining a phone call like this:

BUILDER DAD: hiya love, are you enjoying your romantic break?

CFN: oh yes Dad thanks, it's so lovely getting away from it all and having chance to relax!

DAD: good! Good! Listen there's something I need to tell you. I went round your flat with the lads yesterday... You know how I'd mentioned a while back how nice it'd be if you have a door from your kitchen to the garden....

CFN: oh god Dad, what have you done?!?!?!?!

NotaPantsTroll · 28/07/2017 13:11

Surely there is no way you can buy a listed property without knowing it is listed. It would be all over the Estate Agents details and also all the conveyancing stuff. The CFN cannot claim ignorance!

FMLpassthegin · 28/07/2017 13:12

Keep up Pample the planners have been this morning!

flumpybear · 28/07/2017 13:12

WATTTYYYY maybe your other neighbour thinks you're happy to share your garden so he'll put doors through and share your lounge too 😝😝😝

Miserylovescompany2 · 28/07/2017 13:13

I'd be so tempted to phone the CFB (cheeky fucking builder) and enquire as to when they intend to return? As they seem to have forgotten to clear up after themselves...

FMLpassthegin · 28/07/2017 13:13

They might like to share anything? Any sign of Pampass grasses??!

RudeDog · 28/07/2017 13:13

Been out for 3 hours and this is the first thing I check when I get in - so glad it's the holidays

Ijustwantaquietlife · 28/07/2017 13:14

Op are you posting updates on Twitter?

This is just insane to follow :(

AuroraFloyd · 28/07/2017 13:15

CraicMammy my sister once had a conversation like that with our parents when she was on holiday. Mum kept saying how her bedroom needed redecorating, sister said absolutely NOT. Worst part is they didn't even finish it. She still hasn't forgotten 15 years later.

OVienna · 28/07/2017 13:15

Def agree the lawyer's letter reminding them of their lack of garden access is the right way forward. It shouldn't be too expensive. It's a pain to have to do it at all but with people this bonkers I wouldn't take a chance.

JaneEyre70 · 28/07/2017 13:16

They're probably in a garden centre somewhere choosing their outdoor furniture and hot tub........ Grin but I'm glad the planning enforcement team were so quick to help out. Shows how seriously these things are taken. There are some serious fecking idiots in this world.

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 28/07/2017 13:16

Fucking Barry Grin
What a doughnut fucker.

ChildofASD · 28/07/2017 13:16

Windowzilla? doorzilla? builderzilla? Gardendoorzilla? Noplanningzilla? Is there a poll option somewhere, although I think the OP should name this particular Zilla......@AAAAARGH2017 ??

AhhhhThatsBass · 28/07/2017 13:16

Wattyyyy, between you and your CFNs (only learnt this acronym from your thread by the way, thanks for that) and AlphaBites and her parking wars, I'm laying the blame at both of your feet if I get fired. I keep coming back for an updates and there's nothing. The suspense is killing me.

ASDismynormality · 28/07/2017 13:17

OP please find a way to block the doors so they can't get into your garden and, the zip ties mentioned previously would work really well!

AlpacasPackOwls · 28/07/2017 13:18

Just checking in. 7 pages already!

ChildofASD · 28/07/2017 13:18
