Okay I thought I'd start this for when they inevitably show their faces!!

I have a slight update - I managed to catch the nice neighbour at the other side (I think he'd heard the commotion and was loitering about waiting for me )

He was gobsmacked! Apparently he's lived here for thirty years and has never heard anything like it. I told him I'd keep him updated and he asked if i wanted to come in for a cup of tea, I politely declined hahahah. Glad I now have a nice normal neighbour on my side!

What on earth did you not get straight round there? I thought your friend was coming to give moral support?

And who can we cast as supportive friend Waves? I see her as a Charlotte Coleman type (though obviously still with us....)

No only do you need to recruit the man in the shop but you need to set up a communication system with him involving old tins and string so he can tell you when they've arrived.

I would - he might know something about the CFNs which could actually be helpful. I say this because I used to have a corner shop guy who was the font of all knowledge, everyone loved him and told him everything. He's probably written some kind of "urban secrets" book by now!!
