Okay I thought I'd start this for when they inevitably show their faces!!

I have a slight update - I managed to catch the nice neighbour at the other side (I think he'd heard the commotion and was loitering about waiting for me )

He was gobsmacked! Apparently he's lived here for thirty years and has never heard anything like it. I told him I'd keep him updated and he asked if i wanted to come in for a cup of tea, I politely declined hahahah. Glad I now have a nice normal neighbour on my side!

Op is your gm bringing some nets to hang on the new doors??

My friend waves is making me post this, she is now totally invested. We have retreated to the box room with the wine because she insists we need to keep lookout (we have a good very slight view of the main road from here)

OP - what's happened is awful. Your peace has been temporarily shattered and, while we all go on our merry way, you'll be dealing with the repair and restoration for some time, with all accompanying bitterness probably. And, for that, I am very sorry for you. It will be sorted, sadly not overnight.
