Wattyyyy · 28/07/2017 12:22

Okay I thought I'd start this for when they inevitably show their faces!!

Sorry all the threads have different titles Confused

I have a slight update - I managed to catch the nice neighbour at the other side (I think he'd heard the commotion and was loitering about waiting for me Grin )

He was gobsmacked! Apparently he's lived here for thirty years and has never heard anything like it. I told him I'd keep him updated and he asked if i wanted to come in for a cup of tea, I politely declined hahahah. Glad I now have a nice normal neighbour on my side!

Problem is SoupDragon that's your view - and the view of some others on the thread - doesn't mean it's okay to have a go in the way some on here have.

Jux · 28/07/2017 17:18

I like gingergenius' idea. Grin

WeeM · 28/07/2017 17:18

Good grief just caught up...! Desperately hoping Bazza and Jules aren't sunning themselves abroad somewhere...the suspense will kill me!

mateysmum · 28/07/2017 17:18

OP

If it was the builders (aka Bodge-it and Scarper Ltd) in the flat retrieving their stuff might they have removed the letter the planning people put through the door? Wouldn't put it past them to then deny all knowledge and the CFNs might be genuinely in the dark about what has gone on.

Might be worth mentioning this next time you speak to planning.

madja · 28/07/2017 17:21

Can't be bothering newdaddie too much tbh, he keeps coming back for more....

Tigerlovingall · 28/07/2017 17:22

And when I read daddy talk about his "imposing stature" I thought he was boasting about the size of his dick....

watty, is it reckoned that the illegal pvc door is actually safe if it's not got a substantial load-bearing lintel or will it need shoring up until the damage is made good, do you know?

Btw, when we bought a house in a conservation area, we had to submit all sorts of plans/specs and samples of building materials proposed, to planning and the Trust who were the landowners for our proposed erection of a brick built garage. The peeps from Planning, all 10 of them, arrived in a minibus Grin

OVienna · 28/07/2017 17:22

Can't grasp the sympathetic murmurings towards NewDaddie. But it's also why I love Mumsnet - you really do get your world view challenged!!!!!

THread's on 141k views and counting.

shirleythefamilyguy · 28/07/2017 17:23

You can disagree and argue with someone posting twattish things without resorting to insulting them, e.g. picking up on the spelling of their username which is thoroughly beside the point.

OP this is the most dedicated I've been to a thread in years. Really hope it all works out for you and everyone involved in the least confrontational manner possible!

LakieLady · 28/07/2017 17:24

I wish mumsnet had a crime watch style series with remakes of the weeks juiciest threads. Who would play you Wattyy? I have the baddies from home alone playing the builders and the blonde chick from Downton abbey as the planner, with briefcase walker from in betweeners as her intern

Lol, on the tv in my head, Wattyy is played by Lisa Faulkner, Planning Lady is Olivia Coleman, Planning Man is Mark Heap and Dodgy Builder is Phil Mitchell from Eastenders.

I haven't cast the CFNs yet.

westcoastnortherneragain · 28/07/2017 17:25

Wattyyyy You've done Mumsnet proud Gin Halo Star

This is the best CFN thread i've ever read.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 28/07/2017 17:28

Something tells me he can take it wowfudge

I think so, too Piggy

What with him having the privilege of being physically imposing and everything.

Failing that his mammy will sort the bullies out for him . . .

gingergenius · 28/07/2017 17:29

@YoureAllABunchOfBastards I reckon with that menagerie, CFN will be calling the people from DEFRA and the environmental health department!!!!

gingergenius · 28/07/2017 17:29

YYY TO MUMSNET TV

shirleythefamilyguy · 28/07/2017 17:32

I reckon Rosamund Pike or Emily Blunt for Watttyyy.

gingergenius · 28/07/2017 17:33

YYY to Emily blunt

IdentifiesAsYoda · 28/07/2017 17:33

wowfudge

I am hurt. I think I was at least mildly amusing

Have a read back and tell me what you think

MrsHandles · 28/07/2017 17:34

I'm not even going to dress this up as anything other than a blatant placemark

LittleWitch · 28/07/2017 17:35

Planning lady is definitely Olivia Coleman.

PlumFairy2014 · 28/07/2017 17:36

Me too MrsHandles

MadamePomfrey · 28/07/2017 17:36

Oh
Haven't seen you for ages!!
How the devil are you all??

How is your dd Chris?

proper cheeky fucker reunion here.

Sorry OP just a little thread hijack. Is your garden big enough for a festival? We can't have it at Chris's we'll squash all the wildflowers.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 28/07/2017 17:38

We might need to defer the casting for CFNs until after we discover if they are daft or devious

steppemum · 28/07/2017 17:38

Oh thinking of the wildflowers made me remember that Zombie had virtual hammock in the corner of your wildflower meadow Sad

Vango · 28/07/2017 17:38

Can we have Helen Baxendale as the female absent neighbour?

DustyCoachroad · 28/07/2017 17:41

The guy who played Les on eastenders, His acting is so wooden that i nominate him as the fence.
