Okay I thought I'd start this for when they inevitably show their faces!!

I have a slight update - I managed to catch the nice neighbour at the other side (I think he'd heard the commotion and was loitering about waiting for me )

He was gobsmacked! Apparently he's lived here for thirty years and has never heard anything like it. I told him I'd keep him updated and he asked if i wanted to come in for a cup of tea, I politely declined hahahah. Glad I now have a nice normal neighbour on my side!

Finally caught up I may have bought more data and sat in my car after work even though it renews tomorrow. Committed follower of CFN threads that I am. Great updating OP, glad you have a friend coming round. Where on earth are they though?

I am so :( that it will take months to learn full resolution to OP's situation. I do hope that she doesn't have any painful confrontations, I'd want to avoid the CFNs directly, too. Although would be jolly nice to know WHAT they were thinking. So make the most of the opportunity if it gets forced upon you. Maybe another neighbour can act as spy & sidle up to them to ask all about their building works...

To be fair SoupDragon I have attempted to understand what newdaddie's on about, and he has replied with his explanation of his views. So far neither of us has felt the need to insult the other.
