Okay I thought I'd start this for when they inevitably show their faces!!

I have a slight update - I managed to catch the nice neighbour at the other side (I think he'd heard the commotion and was loitering about waiting for me )

He was gobsmacked! Apparently he's lived here for thirty years and has never heard anything like it. I told him I'd keep him updated and he asked if i wanted to come in for a cup of tea, I politely declined hahahah. Glad I now have a nice normal neighbour on my side!

I reckon they were having work done whilst they are away. If they not back over the weekend then they are probably gone for a week or more.

Definitely get photos of the dumped stuff. If there's a chink in the closure of anything get a close-up of what's inside. I bet those builders were going to sell/are selling the bricks that they've managed to get out intact, leaving the broken bits which they can't sell, and the window itself will be worth a lot, so I hope that wherever it is it's still intact. They've probably sold it already though

It's unbelievable what people do when 'modernising'. We have a very very old listed pub down the road and What they're doing to it is heartbreaking. All the old stained glass from inside, all the beautiful old polished wood, ripped out willy nilly, broken, ruined. Grade 2 so the Council care about the outside, in a conservation area so have to retain the facade. That's what's left.

I feel very strongly about this. I dislike your neighbours intensely! I hope the Planning Dept come down on them like a ton of bricks.

Me too, Breakfast, in fact he looks so much healthier now, 10 years younger. I often drive past him.
