CFN patio doors onto my private garden thread #3

Wattyyyy · 28/07/2017 12:22

Okay I thought I'd start this for when they inevitably show their faces!!

Sorry all the threads have different titles Confused

I have a slight update - I managed to catch the nice neighbour at the other side (I think he'd heard the commotion and was loitering about waiting for me Grin )

He was gobsmacked! Apparently he's lived here for thirty years and has never heard anything like it. I told him I'd keep him updated and he asked if i wanted to come in for a cup of tea, I politely declined hahahah. Glad I now have a nice normal neighbour on my side!

So the builders have come back and shifted stuff about?
Could they have moved/destroyed the note from the planning people so the CFNs never see it?

AlpacaLypse · 28/07/2017 16:41

@FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse I have just wasted spent the entire afternoon rereading all three of the original Squatting Horses threads.

What happened in the end to UW's trailer and RL's shelter?

And since there's no Glastonbury next year perhaps we should have FuckYouFest after all? I can still bring super posh loos but sadly the teenager band has broken up due to musical differences (and all going to different universities).

@Wattyyyy I'm glad you've got a mate over this evening. In your shoes I'd be very nervous too. If it becomes a nice evening hopefully with a friend around you'll be able to sit out in any bits of your garden that aren't too dusty.

Grumpyoldpersonwithcats · 28/07/2017 16:41

TheLittleShirt. No need to apologise. You can be a pendant whenever you want. Grin

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 28/07/2017 16:42

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse I started reading your thread about the pony squatters but once I realised that it was three threads, and I was getting behind with that two current CFN threads, I had to bail out.
Can you give me a precis of what happened in the end? (I'm assuming that a git called Chris was involved)

IggyAce · 28/07/2017 16:43

Just place marking after finally catching up.

Gemini69 · 28/07/2017 16:43

ooh gawd is this thread going to fill up soon too ???

SchadenfreudePersonified · 28/07/2017 16:43

They stuff they dumped at the front door is still there. Odd

Can you see what it is? Is it worth getting a photograph in case the Council Officials come back and say "Oh! I wish we'd had a chance to see what it was!" ?

BabychamSocialist · 28/07/2017 16:44

I'd poor weedkiller on their lawn whilst shouting "MUMSNET SEND THEIR REGARDS!"

BabychamSocialist · 28/07/2017 16:44

**pour

DooRight · 28/07/2017 16:45

@MyLittlePickleBoo @ - We salute you...

TheSnowFairy · 28/07/2017 16:46

Wow Morphene.

AT THE VERY SAME TIME?

Who knew... Hmm

gingergenius · 28/07/2017 16:47

@BabychamSocialist better yet, write 'hello from mumsnet' in weedkiller!!!

Vango · 28/07/2017 16:47

Morphene Grin an excellent summary.

Babycham THEY haven't got a lawn. Yet.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/07/2017 16:47

*AlpacaLypse Grin sorry! UW turned up one day to take away her trailer, but failed to pull it from the field (grinding up the ground as she tried). Which I wasn't that surprised about, since it was far from roadworthy (not that that bothered her). We then got the ok to get rid of it. So we did Grin a cheerful farmer took it away.

The shelter, after lots of "oh that's ours we will come and take it", is still standing firm and currently has some sheep in it hiding in the rain. We did eventually get a message from RL (was that the acronym?) saying she was happy for us to keep it.

This year the wildflowers have been amazing. We have plans to work with a local wildlife project to encourage more birds and wildlife too.

Sorry for thread deraip, Wattyyyy

Slimthistime · 28/07/2017 16:48

Wattyyyy

I apologise if this comment was made ages ago.

you know something that strikes me is that the builders were happy to have their stickers up until you spoke to them. Much as it seems mad, I have a feeling they are not really builders, hence didn't have a clue what they were doing and thought it would be good publicity to leave their firm name up there.

obviously this makes them not-proper-builders but there's a lot of that about.

speedynamechange73 · 28/07/2017 16:49

lweji toldmywrath said "sorry to be the pedant".

And if all my bolds and underlining works, I'll be astonished.

speedynamechange73 · 28/07/2017 16:49

ah, no underlining. Just bolding.

KitKat1985 · 28/07/2017 16:50

My concern now that wattyyy you may not hear anything again from planning until after the weekend. Can you imagine the suspense?! For both you and about 1000 Mumsnetters!

mmgirish · 28/07/2017 16:51

Gosh OP I hope you're ok. Please ignore newdaddie

Lweji · 28/07/2017 16:51

lweji toldmywrath said "sorry to be the pedant".

Yes, that was my point.

FuckYouChrisAndThatHorse · 28/07/2017 16:51

Breakfastatsquiffanies TLDR: HORSES GONE! All sorted Grin much demanding and stomping of feet and declaring that "horse will die if moved".

Horse not only didn't die, but is thriving in his new home and no longer under cheeky woman's care.

Spookle · 28/07/2017 16:51

Pour weedkiller on their lawn spelling out "MUMSNET SEND THEIR REGARDS"

Fixed that for you BabychamSocialist Grin

itstoolateforthisbollox · 28/07/2017 16:51

I'd poor weedkiller on their lawn whilst shouting "MUMSNET SEND THEIR REGARDS!"

They don't have a lawn. It's sort of the point of the thread?

Spookle · 28/07/2017 16:52

Slow down you lot! Angry

alltouchedout · 28/07/2017 16:53

Sounds like they've had interior work done too, and the stuff on their step is from that.
