Okay I thought I'd start this for when they inevitably show their faces!!

I have a slight update - I managed to catch the nice neighbour at the other side (I think he'd heard the commotion and was loitering about waiting for me )

He was gobsmacked! Apparently he's lived here for thirty years and has never heard anything like it. I told him I'd keep him updated and he asked if i wanted to come in for a cup of tea, I politely declined hahahah. Glad I now have a nice normal neighbour on my side!

Wattyyy I think you are right to protect yourself from confrontation. You don't know these new neighbours and they appear to think they can take whatever liberties they like.

Funny how the most aggressively land-grabby poster on the thread is not a fan of people watching what they do while staying hidden - I assume this is because they expect to be able to cow people in person so they can do what they like?

FFS newdaddie I suppose you can't understand what it feels like to be a woman alone in her flat when there are potentially the six builders (plus actual CFN and whomever the hell else) who can easily access their garden. And they know she's complained about their stupid and illegal behaviour. Maybe think about it.

I get that it's real life which is why I said before stay from the door/wall and the bloody cable ties and let the authorities do their thing it's more the attitude that came with it. There's no need to check my privilege I'm aware of the reality.

Any one of the 5 other flats could have reported it. All of them have reasons to protect the integrity of the building. It's the snakey attitude that gets me.

Not that it would do them any good. (They're royally screwed) but now I really feel sorry for the CFNs. If there is a CFN God out there somewhere then Barry and Julie will find some nugget of historic evidence that gives them rights to the garden and planning makes them replace the uPVC with identical doors to yours.

@LadyFlangeWidget - same here. I was reading this out at dinner last night and my Italian BILs - one an architect and the other a geometra were beside themselves at the sacrilege. They have been What's Apping me all day for updates.
