Okay I thought I'd start this for when they inevitably show their faces!!

Sorry all the threads have different titles Confused

I have a slight update - I managed to catch the nice neighbour at the other side (I think he'd heard the commotion and was loitering about waiting for me Grin )

He was gobsmacked! Apparently he's lived here for thirty years and has never heard anything like it. I told him I'd keep him updated and he asked if i wanted to come in for a cup of tea, I politely declined hahahah. Glad I now have a nice normal neighbour on my side!

Yeah and I bet when Barry and Julie got married they went to Maui andcexpected everyone to pay to go out there as well as paying to go on her ridiculously expensive hen do before honeymooning in someone else's house in Mexico, having left their car on their neighbour's driveway!!!!'

hellsbellsmelons · 28/07/2017 13:46

Anyone reckon the CFN's have gone to Maui for a week?
LOL Grin

Mimipoo · 28/07/2017 13:47

So how late no before the DAily fail are on this one?

cjt110 · 28/07/2017 13:48

You just could not make that shit up gingergenius

  • Not saying this thread is made up at all but it's so stupid what theyve done, you couldnt write it.
  1. Buy house
  2. Decide to ignore planning restrictions
  3. Hire building company from 100 miles away
  4. Go away whilst house is ripped to bits....
  5. Come back to enjoy garden and slapped with a huge fine?
newdaddie · 28/07/2017 13:49

I don't know if I'm allowed to cable tie their doors or put anything infront at the moment as the planning folk told me not to touch anything... I might drop them a quick email.

Don't put cable ties or tamper with the work they've done. Realistically it won't make you any safer and it'll just make it easier for them to drag you into the dispute. Atm it's heritage/planning/building regs vs CFNs

pieceofpurplesky · 28/07/2017 13:50

Barry Grin

PrincessFiorimonde · 28/07/2017 13:50

Glad the planning people came out so promptly! Hope you have a nice afternoon with your friend, OP.

gingergenius · 28/07/2017 13:51

Ooh wasn't in any way suggesting it's made up at all!!! I'm just adding to the fantasy narrative of Julie and Barry and their life of wanton cheeky fuckery!!!

Lambzig · 28/07/2017 13:51

Please do listen to the posters saying this is 2 separate issues and do something about the trespass on your land as well, or they may still seek access to your garden. Solicitors letter and speak with your insurers.

Flowersinyourhair · 28/07/2017 13:51

I wouldn't speak to them. Let the legal action do the talking OP

cjt110 · 28/07/2017 13:52

Ginger No, I realised by saying you couldn't write this and mentioning Maui it might be construed as.... oh shut up CJT!

hmcAsWas · 28/07/2017 13:54

I agree with gingergenius - no need for you to take any further measures. Planning will be on their case now to rectify it. Given the Planning Departments initial assessment (that it was not legal and must be restored) I would be tempted to leave it entirely to them , and not even bother to raise it in person with the neighbours upon their eventual return (as it is in the hands of the experts). Its really not a game and no fun ultimately drawing battle lines with your neighbours

IgglesGotANewBag · 28/07/2017 13:54

Try putting

Daily Mail are cunts and steal threads because they don't have writers. Daily Fail Cunts

On every post.

CryingShame · 28/07/2017 13:54

OP, are you all leaseholders? Have you contacted the owner of the freehold yet?

hmcAsWas · 28/07/2017 13:55

I meant I agree with Whatsername (doh!)

TheMaddHugger · 28/07/2017 13:55

cjt110 my husband works as a drafter for an Architectural group.

At least once a month, they get asked to draw up plans After they have done the work to try to please Council and Planning Regs.

In the last 3 years 2 houses and 5 sheds have been Bulldozed. Very bad buildings and not safe. And in each case they believed they could do whatever they wanted to. Just cause they thought they could.

Ropsleybunny · 28/07/2017 13:55

Thanks for a great read OP. Okay, so it's entertaining but it's also highly educational. I never knew half the stuff posted on here.

I just can't wait to hear what happens when the idiot neighbours return! Grin

youarenotkiddingme · 28/07/2017 13:55

CFN sitting in Maui and exclaiming "Barry Barry -it's our fucking house" 😂😂 pure gold!

Lweji · 28/07/2017 13:55

From thread 2
I suspect the builders would've been coming back with some kind of device to move it

Or just leave it there for you.

I'd be tempted to throw their stuff into their house through their double doors (but I wouldn't do it).

00100001 · 28/07/2017 13:56

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 28/07/2017 13:56

Do not cable tie the doors together ffs. At present, you have the moral and legal high ground

Plus the window was probably a fire exit....

TheMaddHugger · 28/07/2017 13:56

cjt110 sorry, I don't know how you name got there. My ooops

MarciaBlaine · 28/07/2017 13:58

So disappointed they haven't returned.
