Couldn't remember the title of the last one so thought that'd do!

No sign of them at all, went out and looked through and all the lights are off, definitely not in. WTF IS GOING ON????

Still in shock OP

SpareChangeDownTheSofa · 27/07/2017 21:04

Love the idea of sitting in the garden all day Grin

msrisotto · 27/07/2017 21:05

They'll have to come back at some point. Wtf were they thinking?

64PooLane · 27/07/2017 21:05

People keep asking if there's a big hole in the house. There isn't, the OP has explained this. There are ugly new pvc doors.

PurpleDragon76 · 27/07/2017 21:05

The builders would have spoken to them, I reckon they are bricking it now (pun intended) if the genuinely thought they were in the right I think they would have been banging at your door asap

Slimthistime · 27/07/2017 21:05

it is Thursday night
so big going out night.

Tiptoethr0ughthetulips · 27/07/2017 21:06

Put the paddling pool directly under the new doors. The cheeky fuckers.

honeysucklejasmine · 27/07/2017 21:06

Hope the planners tear them a new one tomorrow.

StatueInTheSky · 27/07/2017 21:06

PP on last thread said the CFN would be BOUND to know the flat was a listed building...I would say not necessarily

we went to look at a property, in Scotland so listings are a bit different, Solicitor/EA said it was listed but they did not know the details, but were sure it was barely an issue liars

Vendors said it was listed, "but only the facade" fucking liars!

I did the teeniest bit of digging, it was a Category A, and had been royally buggered about with....Mr Vendor had lots of contacts in the BuildingTrade and boasted about always paying cash

The listings guy at the council nearly died when he realised the building was very much On His Watch, as it was right on the river and he was certain it belonged to the neighbour council.

cardibach · 27/07/2017 21:06

They are not back/hiding because their builders have tipped them off. They're trying to work out where to hide all their money before the bill comes from planning.

BelligerentGardenPixies · 27/07/2017 21:06

I reckon they've gone away for a few days, knowing you'd be pissed but hoping you'd have simmered down by the time they got back and accepted the situation. YY to them knowing or being related to the builders.

Sucks to be them when the conservation lot their mits on them. They are notoriously unwavering in the application of the law and this is going to cost them BIG style to make good to how it was.

Sad that a beautiful original feature has been trashed, even a good repair job won't be the same.

MinesaBottle · 27/07/2017 21:06

Shamelessly strolling in through the hole in the wall to placemark. I expect they're either away for the night now or have repaired to a cafe or pub to shit themselves discuss how they're going to sort this.

sweetkitty · 27/07/2017 21:07

I also reckon they thought they would sneak in the doors and try to convince the new owner the garden is communal.

My own dispute with my CFN pales into insignificance. We wanted to move our garden fence forward to bring some of our huge and useless front garden into the back garden and put a shed there. We wanted to extend the existing fence and move it 90 degrees on the fence post. NDN said no it was their fence they paid for it and we weren't allowed to move the fence on the fence post. I couldn't be bothered arguing about a fence post so we moved the fence in slightly and now have an odd little bit of front garden which I've made quite nice with plants.

The thing is your supposed to own andbe responsible for the fence with the posts in your side. The posts are on our side but the fence isn't the big standard one everyone else has they paid for a fancy one so say it belongs to them. The fence at the other side belongs to our other neighbour so we don't actually own any side fence!

Honestly neighbours make me want to live in a field with sheep.

Wheelycote · 27/07/2017 21:08

What's this thread all about??

Marking place whilst going for goodies to shamedly watch whatever it is that's going on

Wattyyyy · 27/07/2017 21:08

My doors are a bit like this NOT ACTUAL PIC!

So yes as you can imagine, nothing against plastic doors but not on a listed building that doesn't fit in with anything surrounding it!!!

OP some people really are unimaginable twats. About 20 years ago I had a ground floor flat with patio doors leading on to a private garden. I came home from work one day to find that my upstairs neighbours had placed a bench in front of my patio doors, so that I couldn't open them. When I explained to them for the millionth time that the garden was my private garden, they said that it was only fair that I share it with them...

MinesaBottle · 27/07/2017 21:09

You may remember this from last year - a developer demolished a historic pub and was ordered to rebuild it to just how it had been before. It wasn't even listed. Sorry if link doesn't work, not sure how to do it on phone!

GodIsDead · 27/07/2017 21:09

This thread is everything! Placemarking Blush

aaaaargghhhhelpme · 27/07/2017 21:09

Thanks op. Sorry you must be off your feet with all the questioning. This thread is crazy!

Honestly - it's just off the planet the level of stupid and/or entitledness.

Hope you can rest up at some point (after you've updated us all!) and enjoy a Gin in your lovely garden

hattymattie · 27/07/2017 21:09

Placemarking too.

Thiscantreallybehappening · 27/07/2017 21:10

This cannot be allowed to stay because other flat owners in your block that don't have access to gardens will think they can do the same thing if CFN is allowed to get away with this, it will create a precedent. This coupled with the fact that it is a listed building will ensure that the Council get this sorted very quickly.

OP - make sure you have all paperwork available to show Planning man tomorrow. Copies of deeds, showing that it is your garden, photographs from today and photographs showing what the window was like before they carried out this act.

This is a horrible situation for you OP but I think it will be resolved very quickly Flowers and Wine for you.

Floods123 · 27/07/2017 21:10

Waiting for updates

PreppedForDiagrams · 27/07/2017 21:10

You really really need to get a motorbike chain round those lovely French door handles. They do not get access.

People are HORRENDOUS aren't they?
