Couldn't remember the title of the last one so thought that'd do!

No sign of them at all, went out and looked through and all the lights are off, definitely not in. WTF IS GOING ON????

Say whhhasstttt?

Foslady · 27/07/2017 21:11

Oh - just passing through (the nice door though that belongs to the building....!)

SabineUndine · 27/07/2017 21:11

I think the neighbours are in the nearest bar getting bladdered at the horror of the mess they've got themselves into.

FUNM · 27/07/2017 21:11

Maybe they cunningly plan to sell you their flat!!! With the doors now it could pass for once massive apartment lol

donajimena · 27/07/2017 21:12

Ermm. Another placemark

Slimthistime · 27/07/2017 21:12

Wilbur - nooooooooooooooooo!

Possumfish · 27/07/2017 21:12

Shamless placemark

PlumFairy2014 · 27/07/2017 21:12
Shock I have read many a shocker on MN, but this is nail biting. I work in Conservation and they are going to get one hell of a shock.
RatRolyPoly · 27/07/2017 21:12

Was there ever an answer to the question of who owned the freehold and whether or not they'd been contacted?

MonaTheMoaner · 27/07/2017 21:13

Place marking. This is simultaneously awful and bloody brilliant reading.

travellinghopefully12 · 27/07/2017 21:13

Is there any chance they are nice people who have made a genuinely catastrophic mistake? It's still very disrespectful not to have asked you even if they believed it was a shared garden, but could it just be a screw up? How possible is this?

mothertruck3r · 27/07/2017 21:13

Maybe they have gone away for a few days while the work is done so they don't have to deal with the noise/mess/interruption?

Poshtottykins · 27/07/2017 21:13

X

WeeM · 27/07/2017 21:14

I only went to eat my dinner and we are up to 8 pages...this is gonna take over my weekend!

annielouise · 27/07/2017 21:15

A complete derail but I did post on page 6 of the original thread but anyone ever find out what happened to the woman whose neighbours knocked down part of her wall and built two matching pillars in what seemed to be preparation for gates?

Can't wait to find out what happens with this situation. Land disputes, as someone said at the end of the other thread, never seem clear-cut. I hope this one is. Bloody cheek of them!

SteppingOnToes · 27/07/2017 21:16

OP - I'd be standing in the garden staring through the doors at them. Just pop up every now and again and scare the shit out of them

Slimthistime · 27/07/2017 21:16

travelling "Is there any chance they are nice people who have made a genuinely catastrophic mistake?"

well plenty of catastrophically stupid people are nice so anything's possible. But I was roundly told off the last time I complained about stupid people on MN.

sobeyondthehills · 27/07/2017 21:16

OP

One of the things you might want to ask the authorities when they get there is what you can do to make sure they don't have access to your garden.

There would be no point in assuming that they wont try and use your garden

CazParentofBoys · 27/07/2017 21:16

Loving this thread - crazy neighbours

dadshere · 27/07/2017 21:16

You should also contact a solicitor ASAP. Now that they have access to your garden, they also have access to your flat. This may change/invalidate your insurance if your backdoor is used as a means of entrance for a robbery. Judging from the picture posted, your back doors are not as secure as your front door either, this would also lower the value of your flat to potential buyers. Finally, the peace of mnd you once had from having a fully enclosed garden is now gone. Get lawyered up, they may have already done so. CFCs

IndianaMoleWoman · 27/07/2017 21:16

Can I be a CF myself and ask for a little list of What We Know So Far for people who have only read the OP? I mean I get the gist (neighbours have taken out window and replaced with ugly doors onto OP's private garden) but why do people keep saying that CF neighbours must be related to the builders? Has there been some interaction between OP and the builders? Has OP spoken to planning?

kittifer · 27/07/2017 21:17

Have just read through the whole thread (took over half an hour but soooo worth it). I cant believe some people are so entitled. Cant wait to hear whst the Council make of it all

tabulahrasa · 27/07/2017 21:18

I can't help but imagine them in their kitchen, looking wistfully at the garden going...it's so nice out there, if only we could get into it...

I know, let's build a door...

Roundandroundtheapartment · 27/07/2017 21:18

I am loving these CFN threads and ALL THE UPDATES Grin Grin Grin

TwoFs · 27/07/2017 21:18

I'm still agog! (And checking into the new thread!). I really hope they come back soon OP!
