I'm so glad that I'm a teacher, and therefore at home on school holidays today.

You're getting our hopes up for massive drama. I'm going to be so disappointed if they're just told to put a window in and not given a massive fine and forced to do like for like replacement. I doubt the planners will be interested professionally in the fact that the CFN have no entitlement to use OP's garden ... but will be glad of the further evidence it provides as to what sort of CF they are dealing with.
