Couldn't remember the title of the last one so thought that'd do!

No sign of them at all, went out and looked through and all the lights are off, definitely not in. WTF IS GOING ON????

Shamelessly place marking!

SimonsPies · 28/07/2017 11:15

OP I hope they're as interested in the attempt to access your private garden as they are in the alterations to a listed building.

MipMipMip · 28/07/2017 11:15

Spookle I am very excited to find a fellow Bertha fan. I like Tom the robot. I know of noone else who remembers her!

Do you remember Charlie Chalk too?

chickenowner · 28/07/2017 11:16

I'm so glad that I'm a teacher, and therefore at home on school holidays today.

I really need a shower, I've a mountain of jobs to do, but I'm still in my pjs, on my third coffee and haven't had any breakfast because toasting a bagel will take too long and I might miss something.
I can't stop hitting 'refresh'.

terrylene · 28/07/2017 11:17

I expect they do not usually get such good unfettered access with the owners absent, as it is usually all on the owner's territory.

Building a upvc doorway onto an irate neighbour's garden is such a gift to planning enforcement. Glad they are enjoying it.

The ones here are not conflict avoiders (unlike the police Hmm )

AlpacaLypse · 28/07/2017 11:18

When I first saw thread yesterday I thought it would be a situation like I have where NDN has right of way across my garden and through a covered alleyway to get out in case of fire. I had to politely stop her carer from coming into my garden for a smoke.

This is another whole league!

WineAndTiramisu · 28/07/2017 11:18

I've taken my mum to her eye appointment, at least there's WiFi here!

Dlpdep · 28/07/2017 11:18

Another Bertha fan here! Did you know you can get the song on YouTube at least, if not an episode or two?

eatabagofdicks · 28/07/2017 11:19

"Just had a call from a lady in Littlehampton, Sandra. Best get Big Bertha ready."
"Right you are, Bill. I'll just finish up my cuppa."

LagunaBubbles · 28/07/2017 11:20

londonrach · 28/07/2017 11:20

PearlyPinkNails · 28/07/2017 11:20

We need a photo now I think Brew

EvelynWardrobe · 28/07/2017 11:21

I'm refreshing like that scene in Toy Story when Hamm is on the computer.

alteredimages · 28/07/2017 11:21

You're getting our hopes up for massive drama. I'm going to be so disappointed if they're just told to put a window in and not given a massive fine and forced to do like for like replacement. Wish I could see the builder's face when he is pulled up. Also, OP, are you in for the long haul? We will require regular updates until the work is finished. It could be months!

TheRollingCrone · 28/07/2017 11:21

Ok I'm 48 and have just "dabbed" my 9 yr old is sniggering . Where are the neighbours?

I wonder if they've ever holidayed in Mexico?

SnickersWasAHorse · 28/07/2017 11:22

I'm so glad that I'm a teacher, and therefore at home on school holidays today

I've just persuaded myself to go into school to get some stuff done. Turned up and it's locked so I can't do anything.
I'm not sat in the car outside school typing this. Oh no.

chickenowner · 28/07/2017 11:22

F5 F5 F5...

Mumsnut · 28/07/2017 11:22

I doubt the planners will be interested professionally in the fact that the CFN have no entitlement to use OP's garden ... but will be glad of the further evidence it provides as to what sort of CF they are dealing with.

AdalindSchade · 28/07/2017 11:22

Or you can click on 'watch this thread' and then go into 'threads I'm watching'

Not since MNHQ decided to add every thread you post on to 'I'm watching' it got confusing
Anyway I will use mumsnet how I like thank you!

MipMipMip · 28/07/2017 11:22

I may have once wasted an entire afternoon doing just that Dipdep [ grin]

mateysmum · 28/07/2017 11:22

Wattyyyy Do you think you could ask one of those nice council people to do us a live web chat? It would save you doing an update and answering the billion questions that are bound to arise form us nosey mumsnetters. Better still if they could post their pics.

If the council lady is there, you never know, she might be a closet mumsnetter.

chickenowner · 28/07/2017 11:23

Snickers The universe is telling you something Wink

TittyGolightly · 28/07/2017 11:23

Felling a protected tree could result in a fine of up to .....

£20,000!!!!

Ours doesn't. 😡
