No sign of them at all, went out and looked through and all the lights are off, definitely not in. WTF IS GOING ON????

Lweji · 28/07/2017 10:16

In only ever had one for the usual (legally required) building inspections.

RatRolyPoly · 28/07/2017 10:16

Bless them, getting out of the office good and early Grin

simon50 · 28/07/2017 10:16

Lazy.. Sorry I must have missed that it was a likeness and not real.
Hey... I have fought my way through 27 pages and the first post as well ! ! !

Pericombobulations · 28/07/2017 10:16

Having worked briefly with listed buildings in a planning department, I would expect the window to be specifically mentioned in the listing. Obvious features such as those normally are.

I have seen some shocking things, like the entire front of a listed building rebuilt. It wasn't completely obvious from first glance but we had photos of all the buildings when listed to compare to (not sure if other councils do this) and comparing them, you could see the difference.

Good luck with them,

shakingmyhead1 · 28/07/2017 10:17

oh yes Eddie and to show the builders name proudly advertised on the stickers before he removed them from the door

Meowstro · 28/07/2017 10:17

Yay! Planning permission are here!!!!

In desperate need of a Brew. I'll be sipping my water in anticipation in this hot building.

Theweasleytwins · 28/07/2017 10:17

So exciting

kittymamma · 28/07/2017 10:17

A second thread! Doesn't look like I've missed much. Looking forward to the next update. They're avoiding you... hoping it will all go away if they ride out your annoyance!

mummmy2017 · 28/07/2017 10:18

I bet the builders are in such a lot of trouble.

Dailystuck71 · 28/07/2017 10:19

I don't think I've ever been so gripped by a thread in 10 years of being a netter.

Booksmusicclothes · 28/07/2017 10:19

Just managed to catch up on both threads. (Takes moment to lie down and think calm thoughts. No. Didn't work)

OP, like pretty much everyone else I am so Angry on your behalf. I'm also baffled by some of the comments along the lines of 'they did it without even asking' - totally not the point. I quite like my neighbour's lovely bay tree pots. Asking first before stealing them wouldn't make it ok - and 'cruel to have to look at a garden you can't use' - I lived in an upstairs gardenless flat for years and looked down on my neighbours garden. Which I couldn't use. Because it was hers. Not mine. Something I didn't find hard to grasp. Newdaddie takes the biscuit though doesn't he? The idea that it's somehow ok to appropriate someone else's property to increase the value of yours? Erm, WTAF? Shock So, if I knocked through our loft extension into our NDN's loft I could probably add another couple of bedrooms and an en suite. That would add LOADS to the value of my house. Why didn't I think of that before? Thanks Newdaddie !

OP, we're with you. DH and I lived in a listed building until four years ago. The historic buildings planners will be all over this. We had to jump though hoops to do anything (they even tried to suggest they should clear the type of flowers we're planting at one stage. I chose to assume they were joking but I really don't think they were). If a building is listed every part of it is listed btw, and there's no way they could have got through the purchase of a house without being made aware of its listed status.

Bluntness100 · 28/07/2017 10:19

For gods sake no one post on the last page and close the thread.

Three of them and a camera!!!

Honestly so involved in all of this! Working from home today but there's not much work being done...

peachgreen · 28/07/2017 10:20

@Judashascomeintosomemoney This is the best post on an already excellent thread.

LimesAndCoconuts · 28/07/2017 10:20

.

RainyDayBear · 28/07/2017 10:21

Excellent update OP!

Anyone else hoping for CFN or builders to put in an appearance while the planning department are there? That would be beautiful!

3luckystars · 28/07/2017 10:22

3 of them! And a camera.

I'm going to make some tea too.

Mummyoflittledragon · 28/07/2017 10:23

I'm getting excited......

Cacofonix · 28/07/2017 10:23

Can I just say that after reading the glut of CFN threads on here recently, that I am really ready for someone to park on my drive/do something untoward with my fences or trespass in my garden so I can go apeshit and have my very own thread. Bloody bastards round here are all too nice.

OP, I am on tenterhooks....

notreallythere · 28/07/2017 10:23

I was thinking of going to go and see a film this morning, but this thread is far more interesting Grin

StatueInTheSky · 28/07/2017 10:24

I bet CFN have a dog, or a cat and think that although they know the garden is not theirs they have the right to use it for the pets!

And I bet they are the sort who won't pick up after!

KatyBerry · 28/07/2017 10:25

god CFN are really in trouble if it's serious enough to warrant a site inspection within 18 hours of initial report, I assumed these things took WEEKS to happen
