Couldn't remember the title of the last one so thought that'd do!

No sign of them at all, went out and looked through and all the lights are off, definitely not in. WTF IS GOING ON????

I don't remember what the planning officer said. Did they say they were coming round tomorrow or that the person you needed to speak to was in tomorrow? (Please say they are coming round)

cardibach · 27/07/2017 22:43

I can see your sexy gnomes (not a sentence I ever thought I'd need...)

Fitzsimmons · 27/07/2017 22:44

Do you think they are doing it up to sell on?

InfiniteSheldon · 27/07/2017 22:44

My eyes!!!!

TimeFliesWhenYoureHavingGin · 27/07/2017 22:45

Perhaps they're in but with the lights off, admiring the new view Wink

Shakey15000 · 27/07/2017 22:45

Love the gnomes Grin

3luckystars · 27/07/2017 22:46

I know you are upset, but I don't think you should blame Kirstie for this.

Flamingosarepink · 27/07/2017 22:46

Omgg! I just cant believe what im reading.
Im desperate to hear their version of events!

Sagethyme · 27/07/2017 22:47

How d'you book mark then?
Not that I need to now Grin

IggyAce · 27/07/2017 22:48

Can't wait to hear what the planning department have to say.

Valentine2 · 27/07/2017 22:48

I think it could be the case of developers buying it as investment. Or they are down in the pub 😂

ratspeaker · 27/07/2017 22:50

We live in a Scottish listed building.
When we wanted to replace our old windows we had to fill in forms, supply building control with pictures from the firm, conform to the council regulations of sash and case, timber frames, mullions and transoms
We got lucky as they had recently decided to allow slim line double glazing

We also had to display a notice outside stating we were replacing the windows.
I take it England would have the same requirement to display notice of intent for listed building work.

When I was getting estimates it was amazing the number of firms advocating upvc , even when I kept saying we can't.
Im always astonished at programes like Homes under the Hammer where people seem to do work, changing room uses , windows, doors without having mountains of paper work or needing planning permission
Maybe the neighbours have been watching programmes like that.
But even then
I dont see how on earth they thought they were entitled to use the garden.

IloveBanff · 27/07/2017 22:52

Surely developers would be too savvy to do this.

MrsEricBana · 27/07/2017 22:54

Just wow at all of this. Watching with a lot of interest and hope it is resolved very soon as it's horrible to be on difficult terms with neighbours. Rest assured there is no way on earth they'll be allowed to keep the doors.

SoupDragon · 27/07/2017 22:55

OP does the listing include internal works aswell as external?

I wondered that too.

BlondeB83 · 27/07/2017 22:55

Place marking!

LBOCS2 · 27/07/2017 22:56

I blame Kirstie and Phil too.

I watch so many of their Location programmes where they blithely say "of course, you could just knock through here and move the kitchen" or "you could easily create a loft conversion here in the roof space" in flats, without ever mentioning that any form of structural alteration - including internal - has to have freeholder's permission and it's not always granted, particularly for moving services around. I could totally see someone saying "and of course, you could create access to the outside space" when selling a property without actually checking whose space it is, or what covenants (or laws) they'd be breaking.

ThorsMistress · 27/07/2017 22:59

Wow! Just read the full first thread and just finished this one!

If they've just moved in they might not know about it being a listed building and the fact it's your garden. I know if I was having work done on a new property I wouldn't want to stay there whilst work was being done so they could be staying else where?
Hope all goes well tomorrow op!

user1471548375 · 27/07/2017 23:00

. Night OP! Can't wait for the planning officer update tomorrow!

AhhhhThatsBass · 27/07/2017 23:00

Have we hit the Daily Mail yet, OP? Surely only a matter of time, no?

not placemarking

SnickersWasAHorse · 27/07/2017 23:00

What time are you expecting the planning people tomorrow? Not that I'm over invested you understand. Oh no.
