Couldn't remember the title of the last one so thought that'd do!

No sign of them at all, went out and looked through and all the lights are off, definitely not in. WTF IS GOING ON????

Greyponcho they could have installed the most expensive, in keeping oak framed doors in the universe - you still can't knock out a window and replace with patio doors on a listed building without planning, and in any event, you can't create an access opening from your property, onto someone else's property - that is trespass.

yumyumpoppycat · 27/07/2017 22:23

It just gets worse, if you had swings etc in the garden it was clearly a private non communal garden. I can't believe the builders have left their stuff in your garden after you confronted them and set them straight.

KeiraKnightleyActsWithHerTeeth · 27/07/2017 22:23

Are you WFH tomorrow OP?
please

maddening · 27/07/2017 22:23

Can't believe I missed the first thread - looking forward to the updates 😃

MiddleClassProblem · 27/07/2017 22:24

I don't have bookmark on my phone (other than iOS one) let me bloody place mark thread police 😂

Also my watching bit is a mess. Holds on much longer than "I'm on" so I never go in there.

Bluntness100 · 27/07/2017 22:26

Exactly, it doesn't matter how in keeping it is, you can't change the structure of a listed building without permission.

The builder knew. That's why he scarpered and why he tried to pick his stickers off, he has committed a criminal offence. He's going to get an enormous fine. As will the owners. On top of the cost of having to put it back as it was with original reclaimed materials with planning monitoring every step. And if they don't do it they will jail them.

It's just mind boggling anyone could be this stupid.

LilaoftheGreenwood · 27/07/2017 22:29

Olenna et al, if she'd either (a) presented any proof or (b) suggested approaching a solicitor to determine the truth of the boundary issue and decree what should happen as a result, and started a conversation with us about how that would happen and who would pay for it, that would have been a different matter (and in fact that's pretty much the proposal we went back to her with - we were ignored). It was the fact that she turned up at the door telling me she intended to knock a bit of my house down in four days' time that caused the issue.

Redsippycup · 27/07/2017 22:29

OP does the listing include internal works aswell as external? If they have been merrily ripping out kitchens and bathrooms for instance they might have to reinstate all that too!

Could you tell if the kitchen you could see through the doors is new?

HeyBigSpender · 27/07/2017 22:30

I'm not sure I can take the suspense!!

Fink · 27/07/2017 22:30

I agree with the poster up thread who suggested foreign CFNs. We get a lot of foreign owners around our way and their knowledge of UK planning & building regulations is often minimal. I have to go with that as the idea that anyone could be so much of a CF to have done this deliberately is beyond comprehension.

LazySusan11 · 27/07/2017 22:30

I think CF garden threads calls for Gin or Pimms..

BMW6 · 27/07/2017 22:32

Blimey...................................just...........................blimey.....................Shock

MissFitton · 27/07/2017 22:32

Y'see, in my head, in your garden Wattyyyy there is Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts on a bench. Under a tree. I realise they'd only have access through a crappy UPVC door or else you'd have noticed them yourself. But there you go.

placemarked hours ago. Clearly over invested

Lweji · 27/07/2017 22:33

Never thought from the start of the first thread that it would pick up so fast. Slow news day?

Crazycakelady17 · 27/07/2017 22:34

I can't believe the cheek of them wish I could see the faces when confronted by the council 😊

Floellabumbags · 27/07/2017 22:34

I blame the likes of Kirstie Allsop for this kind of behaviour.

SpaghettiMeatballs · 27/07/2017 22:34

Thank you wattyyyy good to know the agents were upfront about there being no garden.

I reckon neoflex could be on the right track with her theory especially as they think you are a tenant. If this is what has happened they are even more Cheeky Fuckers than we all originally thought.

Marlboroandmalbec34 · 27/07/2017 22:35

Wow just wow

Runninglikeamummy · 27/07/2017 22:35

I cannot get my head around this level of daft. Are the builders not conversant with UK law?

MovingOnUpMovingOnOut · 27/07/2017 22:36

🚗

DontTouchTheMoustache · 27/07/2017 22:36

I've had a few ciders OP so these seem like a great idea. And now "sexy gnomes" is at the top of my Google search history so it's a win win

Did it say the property was listed in the details?

SnickersWasAHorse · 27/07/2017 22:39

Are the builders not conversant with UK law?

If they are just a load of dodgy fuckers with sledgehammer then they might not be or not care.

DontTouchTheMoustache · 27/07/2017 22:39

Did not post my sexy gnomes! How embarrassing!

aleC4 · 27/07/2017 22:40

I can't believe they haven't come home!
They definitely know they have been caught out.
