Couldn't remember the title of the last one so thought that'd do!

No sign of them at all, went out and looked through and all the lights are off, definitely not in. WTF IS GOING ON????

I can't wait for your update tomorrow! Hope you get it all sorted somehow. Some people are unbelievable!

yumyumpoppycat · 27/07/2017 22:06

The worst part of it is they didn't discuss it with OP in advance and save themselves a headache! Did they really think OP would just let them have doors onto her garden even if it was all from consideration of how the doors would enhance their kitchen rather than for access to OPs garden.

WanderlustW · 27/07/2017 22:07

I can't believe people are so cheeky

64PooLane · 27/07/2017 22:08

In response to pps: I reckon people say "placemarking!" as a friendly way of expressing interest and adding to the buzz, rather than just silently hitting "watch". And because it's maybe less obvious on certain phones how to add a thread to your watchlist.

Woah! I'm here! Wutzup?

chocolateworshipper · 27/07/2017 22:12

Thanks for the update OP.

Good luck for tomorrow!

MrsMotherHen · 27/07/2017 22:12

cheeky buggers!! can't believe someone would do that.

nocoolnamesleft · 27/07/2017 22:13

As a matter of interest, gooseberry bushes can be grown in pots, and are the botanical equivalent of razor wire.

OlennasWimple · 27/07/2017 22:13

lila - maybe your outhouse genuinely was on her property or right on the boundary line? Confused

SpaghettiMeatballs · 27/07/2017 22:17

Out of interest (I know it's irrelevant because deeds show it is your garden etc) but what did the Rightmove advert for CFN's flat say... did it mention the listing or access to a garden?

itstoolateforthisbollox · 27/07/2017 22:17

Madness!

8misskitty8 · 27/07/2017 22:17

What did the builders do with the original window ? Is it still in the garden or in the neighbours house ?
If not I bet the builders took it out carefully and have sold it.

IloveBanff · 27/07/2017 22:18

OlennasWimple I thought the same as you, seeing as lila seemed to not know or care who was in the right legally.

Timefortea99 · 27/07/2017 22:18

Leaving aside the massacring of a listed property, if they just wanted to increase light they would have put in a bigger window. The fact that they have put in doors means they fully intended to go in and out of them. They are either completely stupid or completely cheeky. Either way they are going to be poorer after all this.

MyLittlePickleBoo · 27/07/2017 22:19

There's a firethorn in my garden I'm about to dig up. You are more than welcome to it for your new shrub bed... Wink

MagicMoneyTree · 27/07/2017 22:19

Well isn't this just gripping?! Cannot wait to see how this unfolds with the CFN and all the relevant important people. Cannot believe anyone would even think about doing this!! Unbelievable!!

Taylor22 · 27/07/2017 22:19

Why am I so invested in this thread?!

I need to know how this turns out!

Don't you dare leave us hanging OP!

3luckystars · 27/07/2017 22:20

I'd call around to the other neighbours for definite.

It's unbelievable really.
Here if you are doing any sort of building work at all, you tell your neighbour, even if it doesn't impact them at all, it's a courtesy.

Well I suppose they couldn't have really done that with you ... 'hello'
'Hi, nice to meet you'
'So we have decided to steal your garden on Thursday morning ok'

Justafrickingminute · 27/07/2017 22:20

Best thread ever

I can't see where the window is - the builders must have taken it.

I found the advert for the sale online, pics and all!

NO MENTION OF A GARDEN.

In fact there is a lovely picture of the kitchen focusing directly on the nice window RIP (you can see some of my grass through the window)

🚪📝 door marking

Neoflex · 27/07/2017 22:21

Ja reckon if they have been doing a lot of work on the house but not staying there regularly then they are rookie "developers". The kind who buy a property, give it a lick of paint and then resell for a profit. And they thought they could get away with this and resell before anyone could point the finger since you were also a "new" neighbour. And access to the garden would be assumed by new buyers thanks to the apperance of a door so it would have been a dispute for you to sort out?

Tumblethumps · 27/07/2017 22:22

I've been on MN for 14yrs and this is the first thread ever that DH has also wanted to follow and has become over invested in! Grin Shock Grin
