OP, has the door(s) been installed or have the builders left a 6+ feet hole where the window was?

pseudonymity · 27/07/2017 18:59

The window stickers are probably just from the manufacturers (placemark!)

poorbuthappy · 27/07/2017 19:00

Took me a minute to realise the flats are round the outside and the gardens in the middle!!

TimeFliesWhenYoureHavingGin · 27/07/2017 19:00

I would have thought you had plenty for the enforcement officer to go on. Previous photos, garden left in a mess, new bricks. I'd presume they'd then just contact your NDN giving them the bad news.

PearlyPinkNails · 27/07/2017 19:01
Shock
pinkbraces · 27/07/2017 19:01

Are they normally home at this time? Maybe they have been pre warned about the shit storm about to happen by the builders.

Moanyoldcow · 27/07/2017 19:01

newdaddie

I know you think you come across as 'funny' and 'cheeky' but you don't - you come across as a complete twat.

Oh goodness, the fuckwits are really out in force today aren't they Confused

MadamePomfrey · 27/07/2017 19:03

Surely the planning officer will come and see the mess and then if he needs access to the house contact the owners to arrange at a later date. Which I imagine he will as he will want to check what else they have mucked with!!

64PooLane · 27/07/2017 19:03

I have questions, please .

Have you googled the builder? Anything interesting online?

Are you keeping an eye out for your other neighbours too, so you can gauge their reactions and tell us?

Gah - I had another one but I've forgotten.

Whatsername17 · 27/07/2017 19:03

Duck - they are clearly very stupid and have no understanding of what their deeds mean. It is shocking.

alibongo5 · 27/07/2017 19:05

Agreed.

Roundandroundtheapartment · 27/07/2017 19:05

It's all going on at Mumsnet today, lots of CFNs

imip · 27/07/2017 19:05

Is newdaddie your NDN?

maudeismyfavouritepony · 27/07/2017 19:05

What bizarre behaviour, are they from a country where you can do what you like to buildings and don't understand the concept of a listed building?

The only other reason I can think of to put in doors is if they wanted to eat dinner in the kitchen with a nice view of the garden? Confused

SchadenfreudePersonified · 27/07/2017 19:05

Not that I know anything about building work. But then if they are cowboys they probably don't either!

They will know. They just won't care.

Newdaddie you can call it what you want but it is still theft, and you you sound like an asshole!
As a pp said you try to joke to make it more palatable but it is a dick move!

Redpriestandmozart · 27/07/2017 19:06

What divides all the gardens, is it open plan or are there fences? Just getting visual :)

Wattyyyy · 27/07/2017 19:07

Sorry evelyn 😂 The flats are round the outside, with gardens in the middle - not every flat has a garden attached!

64 yes the builder seems to be "one man and a van" type, no website or anything, just a mobile number.

And yes I might go and speak to my lovely normal neighbour on the other side if I hear him coming home Grin

Slimthistime · 27/07/2017 19:08

OP "But I presume they'll need to see the inside of NDN flat too."

no, I don't think so. It's pretty clear from the outside that they have sorted themselves access to your garden and broken listed building requirements.

Usernom1234567890 · 27/07/2017 19:08

Yes I'd like to know what seperates the 4 gardens tooGrin!

ChrisPrattsFace · 27/07/2017 19:09

I live in a listed building and it takes ALOT of effort to get to where they have (as in - thick brick walls are bloody difficult!) - I just wish you had seen this starting and you could have asked the builders to stop there and then!
CF obviously not arranged while you were out!

MinesaBottle · 27/07/2017 19:09

Bloody hell, how cheeky - I thought my neighbours were pricks but this takes the cake! These people clearly suffer from a toxic mix of massive entitlement and total stupidity.

This must be so stressful for you OP. I hope the planning dept can resolve it quickly Flowers
