To not want DH to go to to Thorpe Park because tbh im jealous?

I am almost 6 months pregnant (due Nov. 10)

DH and I have been invited to Thorpe Park next week. I have said there is no point in me going as I wont be able to do much apart from eat and sit on the fake beach. But DH still wants to go. I really want to be ok with him going but at the same time I am VERY VERY jealous. I love theme parks and thrill rides. I live for them. I cant wait to be able to go on them again and one day we can take Daniel too. I know pregnancy doesnt last forever and I would rather have our baby than a one day fun experience. But it still hurts to see other people having fun when you are not

Should I ask him nicely not to go or should I just bite my tounge and say fuck it? Its either I upset DH or I upset myself? Aibu?

Uh huh. You enjoy your day.

Fruitcocktail

Like I said. I knew the basics. But I didnt realise there was so many other things as well. I knew the obvious ones which are alsothe most dangerous ones so he will be safe. But I would rather he was in complete perfect health so thank you to Holiday for the list

Hmm Talking of fish. Something does smell a bit fishy here.

Im trying my best, ok? I feel awful for not looking this up sooner. I am gibing myself so much shit for it right now. Your passive agressive "uh huh" isnt going to make things any better.

Why don't you do something nice like a mum to be package at a spa whilst your DH has a nice day

CheshireChat · 24/07/2017 17:18

Holidayhooray Thought as much.

Speaking of unpasteurised milk, I thought it was illegal to buy? I'm really struggling to make yogurt with the normal milk.

Sirzy · 24/07/2017 17:19

No point beating yourself up. You can't change anything retrospectively can you.

MummyMiddleton · 24/07/2017 17:19

Lloyd

How is it fishy that I chose to continue with my career? You try running a fucking business and also being pregnant.

Not much into the girly stuff. Im a total tomboy. I am having a gaming session by myself and also dedicating a good couple of hours looking up how to keep our baby safe because I have failed miserably so far and I feel like I deserve to die now. What kind of parent am I?

Hmm Rather dramatic Have you ever been to TP? Last time I went it was shit, which to be fair was about 7 years ago.I am not aware of them upgrading it massively.

MummyMiddleton · 24/07/2017 17:22

Smellyrose

What has that got to do with anything?

Toysaurus · 24/07/2017 17:23

Um, lots of us run businesses as well as being pregnant. I was in Labour in hospital still dashing out as many emails as I could before the baby came out. Still managed to read the NHS book from cover to cover several times and know the ins and outs of what you should and shouldn't do. I was in a wheelchair for six months of it too. There's really no excuse. Unless you literally cannot read.

Get used to it. You're going to feel like that for a long ,long time. There are opinions and advice on every single thing regarding parenting, starting at conception. You will miss some, you will be grateful to be made aware of some and you will dismiss some.
Grow a thicker skin(you haven't ruined your baby... yet Grin) , have a great gaming day and let OH enjoy Thorpe Park. You'll be back there in no time .

MummyMiddleton · 24/07/2017 17:25

Poor Daniel would be safer and happier being raised by a mass murderer than by us. Im an awful mum

I remember you from your other thread..

I'm confused that you gave so much thought as to how you wanted to raise baby so he wasn't clingy, but have no idea what foods are safe to eat in pregnancy?

what kind of parent am I - a drama llama. Take a breath, stop ramping up the dramatic overtones, do some research, dig out some leaflets & grow up a little bit. You'll be fine but dial back the dramatics - theres plenty of real life oh fuck moments to come. I like the name Daniel btw, always floated about our lists.

MummyMiddleton · 24/07/2017 17:30

DearMrDilkington

Because thats all stuff I had learned prior to becoming pregnant and also based on how I was raised and what my parents did. I didnt do any reasearch, I just went with what I knew. Pregnancy is a grey area, its all very new to me and I have very little base knowlege

But you did a Btec? It should have been covered?
