To not want DH to go to to Thorpe Park because tbh im jealous?

MummyMiddleton · 24/07/2017 16:37

I am almost 6 months pregnant (due Nov. 10)

DH and I have been invited to Thorpe Park next week. I have said there is no point in me going as I wont be able to do much apart from eat and sit on the fake beach. But DH still wants to go. I really want to be ok with him going but at the same time I am VERY VERY jealous. I love theme parks and thrill rides. I live for them. I cant wait to be able to go on them again and one day we can take Daniel too. I know pregnancy doesnt last forever and I would rather have our baby than a one day fun experience. But it still hurts to see other people having fun when you are not

Should I ask him nicely not to go or should I just bite my tounge and say fuck it? Its either I upset DH or I upset myself? Aibu?

OP do you have a cat called Spud?

I'm intiruged, who is Spud the cat?

DearMrDilkington · 24/07/2017 22:00

Im pretty sure Op isn't a troll. For anyone who hasn't read her rainbow or under the sea nursery theme thread, your missing out...

LloydColeandhisCoconuts · 24/07/2017 22:04

Is it me or does anyone else fancy pancakes?

Frillyhorseyknickers · 24/07/2017 22:09

Jesus fuck I feel sorry for Daniel if this crank isn't a troll.

For the record you can buy unpasteurised milk in the UK, it's called raw milk and most milk men and some farms still produce it. I grew up on a dairy farm and I swear by raw milk.

NoFuckingRoomOnMyBroom · 24/07/2017 22:09

This is a very strange thread-every time the OP refers to 'Daniel' it actually creeps me out...Confused

justkeeponsmiling · 24/07/2017 22:10

OP are you an 8 year old boy trolling us cracked me up Grin

MysweetAudrina · 24/07/2017 22:10

Have you thought of a name for the baby yet?

kittymamma · 24/07/2017 22:10

I would have bet on her being a troll... either that or totally batshit crazy! Fwiw, I was an avid gamer, and I do like a bit of Minecraft. But I didn't get my gaming life back with my first until she was 2 and my son is 18 months and I'm still waiting... really isn't that easy.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 24/07/2017 22:11

Actually, I tend to nod off when the kids talk about Minecraft. So that might work

DearMrDilkington · 24/07/2017 22:11

Crying.Grin

fruityb · 24/07/2017 22:16

@kittymama you just need their favourite toy and some peekaboo. Silly.

I'm hiding this thread. I just read the other about teaching a newborn to self soothe. I'm done!

Xeneth88 · 24/07/2017 22:18

Just read the OPs other thread. For Danny boys sake I hope she's a troll. If this is real then she's insane.

Bluntness100 · 24/07/2017 22:26

Is it me or does anyone else fancy pancakes?

I do, but my first ones always shit Grin

PollytheDolly · 24/07/2017 22:30

Anyone else got Elton John playing in their head?

pressureofaname · 24/07/2017 22:35

Oh for fuck's sake the lot of you, grow up and stop circling the OP like bullies in a playground.

OP - I think you've probably realised by now that it would be sensible to let your other half go to the theme park without you but to be honest my husband probably would have felt a bit mean going without me in your circumstances and would have postponed the trip until I could come so I can see why it's bothering you a bit.

And re the food thing - if posters were being in less of a weird mood they'd be saying what I'm about to say which is that it is hugely unlikely that you've caused Daniel any harm at all - best to stick to the guidelines but it's about avoiding risks, not that the food is always dangerous.

BlondeB83 · 24/07/2017 22:39

Are you 15?

CheshireChat · 24/07/2017 22:48

The milk thing is for me.

Thanks Witsender, might have to call a couple of farms.

Nearly10to9 · 24/07/2017 22:56

Why haven't you checked online what you're meant to be doing 're foods etc

AufderAutobahn · 24/07/2017 22:57

Don't get why some posters have to be so fucking rude.

OP, I think you know you are being unreasonable with regards to your DH's Thorpe Park trip. Just go in a year or so, when your hubby can look after the baby while you enjoy the rides, the wait will make the trip all the better. Daniel's a good name, I have one of those myself and he is ace ☺️

CheshireChat · 24/07/2017 23:13

Ooh, and thanks steff, it might be rude to hijack someone's thread, but I might actually use my yogurt maker now Grin.

LunchBoxPolice · 24/07/2017 23:19

Are you American?

Ohmyfuck · 24/07/2017 23:27

YABU

ilovesooty · 24/07/2017 23:28

I think some of the rudeness to the OP is pretty unjustified too.

VinIsGroot · 24/07/2017 23:32

Whoever said people were being overdramatic...really.
With DS9 I didn't find out I was pregnant until 26 weeks. (I'd been quite ill and had a seizure).
I ate everything I shouldn't and drank lots too. I thought DS was fine.... Highly intellectual.... He v had high functioning ASD and ADHD only discovered as he got older!

DS 2 had a rare gene mutation not discovered until he'd been alive for 6.5 years. Very delayed and epilepsy... Spent first 2 years in and out of hospital..... Also again now been in lots!!!
DD6 ... Neurotypical so far as far as we know...... But lots v of very allergies... Screamed like a banshee for months!
I've had 3 and none were easy ... Good luck Trip Trapper ....poor Dan

Sallystyle · 25/07/2017 06:03
