To think it's pathetic to take drugs on a night out ...

She's 31 and until she met this new girl she never took drugs.
Now every time she goes out with her she takes Coke.
Every 30 minutes going to the toilet taking more.
I'm starting to dislike her because of it,I know that sounds awful but she's always jumping around after it,sweating, sniffing, bleeding nose and I just think she's Pathetic.
Both 31,she has 3 kids and I think your a mother and doing that.
I love a night out, cocktails etc but I'm honestly thinking of ending our friendship.
What's your opinions?

Drugs are great, but cocaine has the nastiest supply chain known to man. If she is ok with the fact that people are getting literally beheaded so she can talk shit at a party, then she's a psychopath or she hasn't thought about it.

HattiesBackpack · 24/07/2017 16:48

Love all the 'cool' people who think taking drugs makes them bohemian hipsters. Nope it makes you a part of the drugs trade - and that makes you a selfish arsehole.

Ashkey234 · 24/07/2017 16:48

She gets disability for 2 of her kids/child tax credits..or her or DLA I'm not sure but she can afford it somehow.

If you don't have dependants then it's up to you, your risk to take but otherwise it's awful.
I lost my Mam (to cancer) and I think imagine loosing your mam and she had taken drugs and overdosed ..I would never forgive her

MadMags

I know loads of doctors (mainly my close family members). I will have to ask them that! I know none of them would ever take coke, (including one med student and one surgeon). Would be very weird if the gps did it Grin!

gamerwidow · 24/07/2017 16:51

I don't have problem with people taking recreational drugs but I wouldn't want to be on a night out with them. In the same way I wouldn't want to be sober if everyone else was drunk. I don't think your friend is a terrible person or a bad mother, as long as she's not using at home or having her kids go without because she's spent the money on drugs, but I think it's reasonable for you not to want to go out with her.

RhubardGin · 24/07/2017 16:51

I couldn't be friends with someone who takes drugs, it's pathetic and fucking stupid at any age.

As they say, drugs are for mugs!

Dawndonnaagain · 24/07/2017 16:51

Is there perhaps a reason she's taking the drugs? (Other than for recreational purposes).

Underthemoonlight · 24/07/2017 16:51

I got two friendship groups and one is from school. The four of us used to be closed but the other two were obsessed with spending half the night in the toilets getting coked up one of them is a mother of 3 and both her and dh have coke regularly even to the point of having it in the house.Me and my other friend were not interested in that scene and we have since distanced ourselves. I love going out with my other group of friends we all live across the country spread out so can't arrange to go out all the time but it's refreshing to go out and be in the toilets retouching our makeup then back on the dance floor again. No drugs and zero drama.

RubyWinterstorm · 24/07/2017 16:51

coke turns people into arseholes, so i don't hang around with coke users anymore

yanbu

JaneEyre70 · 24/07/2017 16:51

I wouldn't ever be friends with someone that had kids and was choosing to use illegal drugs. I don't mind the odd drink (I'm diabetic) but it is the odd one, and I can live without it happily. But using illegal drugs when you've got little lives that are totally dependent on you is the worst and most selfish action you can take. In honesty, I'd also report her to SS for she's not able to be a decent parent.

I couldn't agree more HattiesBackpack I doubt that the drug barons are donating their massive profits to philanthropic causes.

MadMags · 24/07/2017 16:52

Lol Decaff maybe not the GPs. But she said surgeons are always at it! Who knows? She's always been a bit of a drama queen!

Decaffstilltastesweird · 24/07/2017 16:54

Have to agree with this, to a point. People who wouldn't watch porn or buy palm oil for ethical reasons, shouldn't use drugs either. It isn't 'right on' or bohemian to contribute to this industry imho.

CaoNiMartacus · 24/07/2017 16:55

It's never harmless though, is it? Even if it doesn't affect the drugtaker, there's someone who has risked their life somewhere down the line, either smuggling the stuff up their arse from South America, or being pimped out to pay some cartel lord.

Filthy business.

My hands aren't clean, as I've taken plenty in my time. Never again, though.

LoniceraJaponica · 24/07/2017 16:55

I don't know anyone who takes coke. I am old and boring and my friends prefer to stick to legal drugs (alcohol)

Namechangetempissue · 24/07/2017 16:55

Agree HattiesBackpack. Its all a huge laugh at a party when you are high on drugs with a purchase price that funds terrorism and people trafficking 👍

aramintafatbottom · 24/07/2017 16:55

How on earth would you be able to concentrate on doing an operation if you were off your face on coke? It doesn't exactly make you coherent!

Decaffstilltastesweird · 24/07/2017 16:56

MadMags

The surgeon is my dad who's in his sixties! I will have to ask him.

CaptainMarvelDanvers · 24/07/2017 16:56

I sort of think drugs should be legal, but my god Coke turns people into complete arseholes.

I know they will be a few posters come on say they take coke and they aren't arseholes when they high but I really wouldn't believe them. Even if they aren't violent, coke turns people into complete knobs.

Decaffstilltastesweird · 24/07/2017 16:56

Exactly araminta. My dad says he can't even drink coffee if he's operating.

RhubardGin · 24/07/2017 16:57

I assume all the totally cool morons who think taking cocaine or any other forms of recreational drugs would have no problem with their children doing this in the future?

Or going off to the loo together to do a line of coke on a night out?

You see so many stories in the news of people ending up in hospital because they've taken god knows what, unless you have a trustworthy drug dealer on speed dial, how do you know what you're taking?

purplesippycup · 24/07/2017 16:57

Can't believe those replies comparing a few cocktails to class A illegal drugs.

Alcohol is fine in moderation and when handled appropriately.

That is not the case with cocaine.

Only sad pathetic people (especially those with kids) use drugs like those mentioned by OP.

Selfish stupid bastards.

OhhBetty · 24/07/2017 17:00

I used to party a lot. Genuinely prefer people on drugs such as weed, coke and mandy to drunk people. I don't do it now because I'm a single parent. Don't drink because I hate it and it's actually more damaging imo.
I just think live your life and let others do the same. I do enjoy a peaceful life though!

alltouchedout · 24/07/2017 17:00

I know lots of people who use coke. Some of them are eejits, most are not. I know lots of people who (like you) enjoy the use of alcohol. Some of them are eejits, most are not... do you see a pattern here?
