I've just had my hair done, hair extensions at the hairdressers, altogether £410 and I didn't tip.
Should I of ?
I'm moving in the next few weeks and as its a council house I need to buy all new carpets as its basically a empty shell so i need every penny I can get really.
Do you tip?
And if so how much?

Of course there will @DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen

It's going to be a series to get the hard right frothing;

"AIBU to buy all school uniform in Harrods? I haven't got any curtains up in my new council house yet but DS is so hard on his clothes and I feel it's important for his self esteem."

"AIBU to book a month long Caribbean cruise instead of our usual fortnight on the costas? I've heard cruises are very good for MH but DD has been nagging to decorate her bedroom in our new COUNCIL house and I can't afford both"

"AIBU to buy a campervan? I've always wanted one and it would let me take my agoraphobia on the road so I think it would be TOTALLY worth it. We had to ditch our lovely corner sofa when it wouldn't fit into our new COUNCIL house but, as I saw to the kids 'fun is better than furniture any day!"

Hmm

As I previously said my partners earnings don't affect our tenancy in the slightest ...as I had my tenancy before we were together

Says it all.

MonsterQueen · 22/07/2017 10:19

How much do you spend on your nails, and how often?

You do not come over as narcissistic at all Hmm

You also said in your previous post

I'm going to look into getting some reminents.
I think they'll be the cheaper option

And then get hair extensions at £410

That should answer the part where I said your prioritising self grooming over house essentials. Did you look at cheaper alternatives for your extensions? I'm guessing not at £30 maintenance a month.

Reminents are just as good tho..why pay extra for something if you don't need too.
Franks have hundreds of lovely reminents in.

If your lucky you can find a few from the same carpet and they match ..

OP posts:
Ashkey234 · 22/07/2017 10:31

It's £30 every 3 months.
No other alternatives..clip ins were rubbish and I needed the integration system for parts of my hair that were patchy

@FanjoForTheMammaries why don't YOU read all of her threads before defending the anti-council housing goadiness?

This is no different from "My friend has just been given a small mansion, a goat and a Range Rover evoque by the Cahnciill" threads.

Lweji · 22/07/2017 10:35

Not pedantic, just so that you know, it's remnants.

LilaBard · 22/07/2017 10:36

Nope. My hair is a real treat for myself and costs the best part of £100 maybe 4 times a year. I'm on minimum wage and have to save up for it every time. I figure staff in the hairdressers, unless they are work experience types, will be getting the same or more wages than me. If I was loaded sure I would tip.

she said she has MH issues and low self esteem

she also said her MH issues were nothing to do with why she had extensions

MSLehrerin · 22/07/2017 10:41

@FanjoForTheMammaries and the OP has shown up her attitude nicely too, as have you. That's what posting on an Internet forum is all about, isn't it?

Goadiness all around on this post. Am still howling at you accusing me of being a Daily Fail reader 😃 hahahahaha you have no idea how far from the truth that is!!

Brittbugs80 · 22/07/2017 10:43

Reminents are just as good tho..why pay extra for something if you don't need too

Then don't complain about a £5 tip for over £500 of hair extensions if the carpets were that essential in the first post, now are actually ok with being remnants.

I have PCOS which has caused my hair to thin quite bad,I suffer from GAD too which causes me loads of problems.
I wanted my hair done to make myself stop feel like shit so what ..I don't regret getting my hair done in the slightest.
You know nothing about me or thet type of person I am ..just your stupid perception of what you think I am

Ashkey234 · 22/07/2017 10:46

Oh and that all social housing tenants wear Paul's boutique and have a pit bull ..

OP posts:
Ashkey234 · 22/07/2017 10:46

Is something wrong with having reminents now as well?
Is that a sin now?

MSLehrerin · 22/07/2017 10:47

Presume you're referring to me @FanjoForTheMammaries? Again, PA response. Just say who you mean.

You are perfectly entitled to your perception that "people" are lording it over the OP due to the social housing issue. I've explained why your perception of what I said is incorrect. But you're still entitled to it, even though it's inaccurate. That's what freedom of speech is all about. HTH.

Btw, have you asked a hair specialist?

Extensions may look better, but, AFAIK, won't do your hair condition any favours.
