Walking home from work earlier this week in the glorious sunshine, I came to a lady paying for her parking. She rolled her eyes as I got closer and then fanned her face. I said "oh, I know, its a scorcher. She said " oh you don't, I have a fractured spine " she said this as she was trying to get into her car but she winced as she was doing it so I asked her if she needed any help with anything, even to walk with her to where she was headed once parked and to close her sunroof. Felt lovely for the rest of the day.

So when was your last good deed?

Or even if you where the recipient would love to hear about it.

I have honestly cried at some of these good deeds especially the suicide.

I picked up a lady's walking stick today when it slipped to the ground as she was paying for her groceries. She was struggling to bend to get it and I had to walk round the person in front of me in the queue to pick it up, pass it to the lady and walk back to my spot in the queue.

I once reversed an elderly man's car for him on a narrow lane in Cornwall. He was blocking the road and was getting more and more stressed, each attempt to reverse just made the situation worse, he was sort of stuck diagonally against a stone step. He was really grateful and I just nipped it back about 15 feet, behind the step, round a little corner and hey presto, the traffic was able to pass again.

A couple of weeks ago when I was nipping in to Sainsburys after work to treat myself to a pizza, I saw a homeless man sitting outside begging. Everyone was stepping over him and trying to ignore him. I bought a family size bar of galaxy, a grab bag of crisps and a bottle of water and handed it to him on the way out. I told him i hoped he enjoyed it. He seemed genuinely surprised and thanked me. It really upsets me that so many people are homeless in Britain.
