A friend of mine had a cousin who happened to also be a cousin of Jim Kerr from Simple Minds. Although my friend was not actually related to Jim Kerr she referred to him as her half cousin. Another friend used to boast that she and Simon Le Bon were at school together, they did indeed go to the same school but not at the same time. Anyone else got any vague claims to fame?

Whilst waiting for a table in a local pizzeria, my husband got chatting to a bloke who was waiting for his takeout.

Loving some of these. My own DM was a secretary of a private school and spoke to Sarah Ferguson on the phone when she was enquiring about a possible place for Beatrice and Eugenie. They didn't enrol, but one of Dick and Dom did. ( Can't remember which)

My sister may have had a drunken snog years ago with Lee Stafford (famous hairstylist)

My dad's aunty's husband was Shakin Stevens uncle.

In Uni dorms my neighbour was a neighbour to Catherine Zeta Jones' cousin.

I can do better than that. An ex's best friend once said hello to CZJ getting off a train in Swansea. She said hello back.
