@Rhodiolia and @Lonelymummyof1

That's such wonderful need to hear!!!

Been thinking of Lonely's DD today and it's fantastic to get such a great update Grin

redshoeblueshoe · 12/07/2017 20:43

lovelybath - that sounds good to me

Oogle · 12/07/2017 20:43

Please send lonelymummyof1 and her daughter my love. Thank you so much for the update xx

DarthMaiden · 12/07/2017 20:44

News not need!!!

Damn autocorrect...

SunnySkiesSleepsintheMorning · 12/07/2017 20:44

On the back of Punnet's post, I messaged GOSH thanking them for looking after me in my early years, even though it was many years ago. I said that I am doing well. They sent back such a lovely, lovely reply.

zeezeek · 12/07/2017 20:44

What s horrible post. That will be one of the only photos they have of their child of course they can be proud of it and share

I have precisely 3 photos of my son who died a few weeks after being born. Only one of them is with me and my late partner. It is an incredibly precious photo for many reasons - it was shortly before my son died, it was the last photo of my partner before he died, it was the only one in which the three of us are together. It is precious, private and even if Facebook existed then it is absolutely not for public consumption. In fact my two daughters haven't even seen it. We are not smiling. How could we? Our child was dying.

Wornoutbear · 12/07/2017 20:44

Thanks for the update for Lonelymummy1 - hope things improve for you

Sirzy · 12/07/2017 20:45

Glad they managed to get the lines in. Hopefully the antibiotics kick in soon

Zoflorabore · 12/07/2017 20:45

So pleased for Lonely's little girl!! Just hope she continues to be strong, just like her mama Flowers xx

Ps I don't have much but I would absolutely love to help out with stuff that her or her dd need, it's sickening that she is doubly suffering and going without, apologies if that sounds insensitive but I have thought about her a lot.

LovelyBath77 · 12/07/2017 20:46

Glad to hear Lonelymummy Flowers

I don't know why a thread about Charlie can be derailed to become a sounding off board for everything fb-related. I hated your last post Sostenuto, but it sounds as though you have realised it was in bad taste so I won't go on about it

Yamayo · 12/07/2017 20:49

For the little ballerina

clairewilliams999 · 12/07/2017 20:49

I can't help but feel that this thread and the 4 that preceeded it are uneccesary. Lots of lovely educated naice people virtue signalling and sneering at two ignorant idiots who are in an unfortunate position and being exploited.

You wouldn't feel the need to comment on a Jeremy Kyle show.

zeezeek · 12/07/2017 20:50

sostenueto - your post wasn't offensive.

LapinR0se · 12/07/2017 20:53

Can we try and keep on topic?

MommaGee · 12/07/2017 20:53

Thank you xor0the update on lonelymummy's ballerina

Sostenueto. P.s the longest living child recorded with the condition was 5. They usually die within the first few weeks
Because hospitals routinely withold care. When you have to go through ethics committees just to get fetal moniotirong, a c section if required, rhesus at birth and surgery is even harder to get, of course the survival stats are shitty.
its tresime 13 syndrome on the downs syndrome spectrum Patau Syndrome is not on the Down Syndrome Spectrum. There totally different. The ""similarity" is they are boty trisomies but to very different chrosomes. Patau and Edwards are moat closely aligned but even they aren't considered to be the same or on a spectum

redshoeblueshoe · 12/07/2017 20:54

Claire - Shock 2 ignorant idiots - and your calling us bad Shock

ArgyMargy · 12/07/2017 20:54

I disagree Claire - actually I have found these threads extremely useful and the perfect antidote to the drivel being spewed out across mainstream and social media. They have also prompted me to take specific actions including sending a message of support to GOSH which I have been told will be passed on to staff. Also reporting offensive posts by CA members to Facebook. So actually these threads have been a force for good, in my opinion.

Rhodiolia · 12/07/2017 20:54

Zoflora not insensitive at all, I am sure she appreciates all the kind thoughts for her and her DD.

LovelyBath77 · 12/07/2017 20:55

Claire I think that actually a lot of focus was on the child and staff and trying to help things, by doing things like reporting posts. and sending support. I'm sorry you have found that, but don't think that is the case. You could always have contributed to the discussion, rather than just coming on and criticising and heading off.

I do not know if this has been posted on here, but it took Laura long enough, I saw a post before saying their comments were being deleted, seems like facebook have taken action after all, maybe justmaybe the one that has been stirring the pot has actualy realised now what shes been doing is wrong.

(Please remember to keep things civil and non-threatening. Emotions are very high for all in this group, which I appreciate negative media or trolls add to, but threats of violence or aggression are not tolerated on this page.

I've said it before and will say it again: thank you for your positivity, love, hope and support at this extremely difficult time

If you see a post or comment that concerns you, please 'Report to Admin' and one of our admin team will look into it for you.)

Thank you for the update on lonelymummy's DD.

Wtaf.

Firstly there lots of parents on here who have lost children, are at risk of losing children or who came damn close.

I'm certainly not ""naice"" I live in my rented house with a DH on shirt wages and me on carers because I can't get appropriate childcare for my disabled son.
There's been a few criticisms of how Charlie's parents have acted but mainly because we all think they should be with Charlie. They're certainly not idiots - they might be imo misguided but that doesn't make them idiots. Whatever else is, there's no qiesrion they love him and believe they are right.

TartanDMs · 12/07/2017 20:57

mucky sadly though the posts advocating harm towards the QC are still up there. She may want to keep the page going (may have had a warning from FB about content) but unless she removes posts that are offensive when she sees them, she can post all she likes about keeping things civil yet her actions will show differently.

LovelyBath77 · 12/07/2017 20:58

Yes, I saw something on CA mentioning anything with a hashtag and Charlie Gard was being deleted?
