BoreOfWhabylon that's a lovely idea, I will send something edible maybe.

5achel · 11/07/2017 23:30

That's a good idea Bore what else can we do? We need to let them know how we feel

Rabbitnothare · 11/07/2017 23:31

MommaGee they delete comments straight away that they don't agree with.

TheWeeWitch · 11/07/2017 23:34

Here's one fighting back ( I know I said I was going to be big the baby is awake!).

CA person 1.

I really don't think GOSH are attempting to murder Charlie.......they have cared for this baby for months and I'm pretty sure all those doctors and nurses caring for him, would have fallen in love with him.......they cannot do their job and not get attached......tbh, I am gobsmacked by some of these assumptions 😒

CA person 2.

i respect your opinion and you entitled to it if you believe in gosh then why are you supporting charlie and im very gobsmacked also that sadly some people cant see what is right in front of them i feel we will agree to disagree in my eyes they havnt cared for this little boy at all in fact they have withheld care

CA person 1.

Why does everyone have to agree with every damn conspiracy theory to support Charlie?? I believe in facts.....how do you know they've withheld care? Only Connie, Chris and GOSH know what's gone on and I've not heard Connie and Chris slating them......I for one would love Charlie to be allowed to have this treatment, but I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon by saying GOSH are attempting to murder him 😐

Good form!

I can't find it now but before the trial Connie was quoted as saying that the 'new evidence' had been available in April but the lawyer hadn't submitted it to the court.

TheWeeWitch · 11/07/2017 23:36

*bed but

Ffs.

Rabbitnothare · 11/07/2017 23:36

They're ll about the money, isn't that a surprise! And on top of this you have the judge saying it's actually "deplorable" that Charlie's lawyer has agreed not to require fees from the family!!!! Isn't that Charlie's lawyer's decision anyway?

Barmy page ^ referencing the judge saying that they should have legal aid and thanking their lawyer.

You couldn't get it more wrong if you tried Hmm

nolongersurprised · 11/07/2017 23:39

Re the morphine : if he's really only been put on it recently then it's quite telling as to how severely physically impaired he is. Most people need some form of sedation whilst intubated so they don't "fight" the tube and ventilator.

If he didn't need that then he must have no spontaneous movement and no gag reflex

BoreOfWhabylon · 11/07/2017 23:40

Ah Maryz, you speak great good sense, as you usually do. Glad you're back with us, you were missed.

Rabbitnothare · 11/07/2017 23:48

I disagree with Lapin and really don't like being told what can and can't be discussed (within reason).

I think that it is okay to keep an eye and question if money is being raised for a treatment. If it's clearly for living costs, that's different.

As I said before, I felt very frustrated at the policing of the Dax threads and that ended very badly.

I didn't see comments about the bed costs , but would not defend those.

Off to bed now, thinking of @lonelymummy especially and her dd as well as Charlie.

LogicalPsycho · 11/07/2017 23:49

islandsandshores I'm fairly sure it isn't just you. This has gone far past the point of integrity. I think Charlie, and what is best for him, has long been forgotten.

Rabbitnothare · 11/07/2017 23:54

Also let us know if they need money to bring the doctors that gave the letter to say that the treatment will work. It would be good if these doctors could be in court

This is another new post about money, I have to respectfully disagree that this should not be discussed.

Lonelymummyof1 · 11/07/2017 23:56

Rhodiolo's comment about her fb friend not having enough money for a sandwich in hospital is a true perception of what it is like.
That fb friend I am not ashamed to admit it is me.
She did as well as a few other friends get together and sent me 100 pound so that I could survive the next 3 weeks.
This is why I do not begrudge the parents getting the money as I know how tough it it.
I have managed to eat 1 hot meal in a week and I am glad connie and chris are getting the chance to go out and eat meals and have nice clothes etc still

Trust me it is not the norm to be able to do that and I do not feel bitter towards that all just greatful that are recieving the help. X

TheWeeWitch · 12/07/2017 00:01

@Lonelymummyof1 Flowers

LogicalPsycho · 12/07/2017 00:03

Has anyone actually had any luck with reporting to Facebook?

No. I've reported a few absolutely vile messages regarding GOSH and this case, and had no luck either. Their scorn does not go against guidelines it seems.

Strangely enough, I was actually banned from Facebook for 7 days myself recently, for 'violation of community talk guidelines'.
My crime was saying that men cannot have babies. I wish I was joking.
But no, saying something like that is offensive because it 'others' the trans community, so I lost my account for stating that men can't give birth.

Sorry to derail slightly, but just to say you're not alone in being ignored- Facebook have some seriously skewed ideas of what constitutes decency.

Zoflorabore · 12/07/2017 00:07

iirc the judge said that he would only consider any new evidence dated after May 22nd.

I bet that gosh are seriously regretting letting the family have extra time. They were probably bullied into it.

The parents are delaying the inevitable. Surely they know what evidence they have and their lawyers will be keeping them
Informed over what the judge is possibly expecting and i honestly can't see that happening.

Surely nobody can be this deluded.
I have lost such respect for them, whilst I will always sympathise, they will come out of this bad I think.

Great Ormond Street have cared for their baby for almost his whole life and they were lucky to have it nearby. It seems all of that has been forgotten now, I worry that gosh will not fully recover from this.

There are ways of going about things in most situations and this has been handled badly in respect of them allowing the barmy army to continue to accuse the hospital of murder etc and to seemingly use any opportunity to make money.
Surely someone has sat with the parents and told them the full truth, they must know.
Why then continually say he's not terminal, no brain damage etc.
It makes me question everything.
I was very honest in a previous post about having a bad feeling over the mum in particular and was shot down. I still feel that something is amiss.

Charlie needs to be free of this, he isn't fighting at all, he doesn't know how.
The most loving act his parents could show would be to let him go. I can't imagine them just accepting the ruling ( if that's the case )

Gosh need to be given a date and time or this poor baby will continue to suffer.
Sorry, rant over.

Ps4widow · 12/07/2017 00:07

Forgive me if its already been said but i saw that they are trying to make the gards citizens of the usa if that does happen what will happen?

MyPuppyIsADick · 12/07/2017 00:08

The 'neuroscientist' has posted this on the CA USA page... Hmm

The lunatics have taken over the asylum.

DarthMaiden · 12/07/2017 00:17

Anyone else see this 8 myths stuff that's coming out now?

It's also on the DailyFail but I can't bear to link to that....

Apparently these are the myths the parents plan to de-bunk in court...

smilingmind · 12/07/2017 00:17

Goodnight everyone.
Thinking of you @lonelymummyof1 and of course Charlie.

MommaGee · 12/07/2017 00:19

*he'd cry if he was in pain!

And how do you fucking cry on a ventilator???? Even once it was out DS sounded like a sad little lamb and that was only after 4 weeks and then 1 week .

How bloody ignorant some people are who insist on having frigging opinions

redshoeblueshoe · 12/07/2017 00:20

yes it is very expensive when your Dc is in NICU, especially when its for a long time and the hospital is in a different city. Even with the RM house (which is a godsend) you are still having to pay your rent/ct/ etc. whilst your phone bill goes through the roof - keeping relatives informed, accessing support. If you are lucky your employers will be supportive. If you don't drive its another expenditure. Its a long struggle.
