No.

What you have to understand about CA is that these people don't really care about Charlie. Their emotional attachment to him is entirely imaginary. They are enjoying (and I use that word advisedly) a bit of moral indignation and the thrill of "standing up to the man". When Charlie dies, or should he continue indefinitely in the nether-hell which he inhabits, they will lose interest. They haven't got any comprehension of the medical details, or a grip of the issues at stake, not because they are too ignorant to understand them but because they are too stupid to want to. Angry

Blackadderspants · 10/07/2017 15:37

Charlie is now receiving morphine as doctors think he may be experiencing pain. It's all coming out now.

Poor, poor little poppet.

ilovegin112 · 10/07/2017 15:37

the things they are coming out with on facebook are terrible, the media has had a big part to play in this fiasco

Sostenueto · 10/07/2017 15:37

Place marking.

stitchglitched · 10/07/2017 15:37

Poor little baby. CA are now accusing GOSH of murdering him with morphine.

Nicknacky · 10/07/2017 15:38

CA wants his health visitor to come in and measure him to prove he is growing. You can't make this shit up.

They think it's a huge conspiracy with every who is involved being incompetent. But if the experts, judge etc all agreed with them then no doubt they would be proclaimed as being amazing at their jobs!

And to assume the legal team including the judge can't possibly have kids ffs

HouseOfMouse · 10/07/2017 15:38

"Armstrong for parents: they say the 10% figure is from one of the clinicians. Evidence of this will be given at a future hearing."
In other words, they had not even produced the evidence for this claim for today's hearing.

Ellie56 · 10/07/2017 15:38

Butler Cole doesn't want the judge to step down either.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 10/07/2017 15:39

Armstrong for parents: they say the 10% figure is from one of the clinicians. Evidence of this will be given at a future hearing

They really are making it up as they go along aren't they? Sad

And isn't it up to the judge whether there's another hearing?

MirandaWest · 10/07/2017 15:40

CA think GOSH are trying to kill him with morphine. And talking about how they can get the medication to him illegally.

This is all so horrible

GlitterDustFairy · 10/07/2017 15:40

This was my previous post regarding being kept alive on life support for those who are asking. Sorry, I Don't want to write it again so have just copied and pasted.

A PP asked how long can a person be kept alive for artificially. It's difficult to say, in theory a long time with the use of medication and machines. We can support lungs, kidneys, heart and livers but there is a bit of a cascade effect; once one is being supported due to failure...others will follow. There does become a point where no matter what we put into the body to support it, a person still dies. Blood chemistry can alter to a point where it is incompatible with life, medication used to support the blood pressure can only be increased to a point where it stops being therapeutic and becomes toxic. Make no mistake....this is a horrible way to die, there is absolutely no dignity.

JigglyTuff · 10/07/2017 15:40

Absolutely BarbarianMum

This is not about Charlie for the 'army'. I'm not even sure it's about Charlie for his parents any more. They must know he's on morphine so saying that he's not in any pain is a lie.

MontyPythonsFlyingFuck · 10/07/2017 15:40

GOSH's counsel seems to be playing hardball. This could get quite fraught.

stitchglitched · 10/07/2017 15:40

Seems like they are just trying to drag it out as long as possible. If they had the evidence surely they'd produce it now?

MissHavishamsleftdaffodil · 10/07/2017 15:41

Fairly obvious that the parents have refused to share evidence or information with GOSH.

PyongyangKipperbang · 10/07/2017 15:41

What I find so hard about all this is that as a parent you often have to do things that you really dont want to do because its in the best interest of your child.

Its not on the same level of course, but vaccinations. No one likes holding their baby while they are stuck with needles but we do it because we know that it could one day save their lives. I remember holding my screaming son down while he was Xrayed. It was upsetting and traumatic for both of us, but he needed to get it done after a bad fall.

Its what you sign up for as a parent, putting your own wants second to your childs needs and in this case I dont think that that is what Charlie's parents are doing. I am sure that they have squared it in their heads that they are doing this for Charlie but sadly I really dont think that it is. I wonder if they have been offered any counselling to help them come to terms with losing Charlie, although if they didnt want to accept the doctors prognosis then they may well have turned it down.

Its heartbreaking for all concerned but ultimately Charlie shouldnt be kept alive simply because they are unable to let him go.

DarthMaiden · 10/07/2017 15:41

Some of the responses to the post about Charlie being on morphine are just shocking (and libellous).

Some people need an IQ test before being allowed near social media.

SumThucker · 10/07/2017 15:42

Quite a few of "CA" are questioning it now.

LogicalPsycho · 10/07/2017 15:42

Poor little baby. CA are now accusing GOSH of murdering him with morphine.

Given that Charlie Gard can not swallow, the only way he will be receiving Morphine is in an IV fluid I believe.
I'm fucking positive that even I could calculate an accurate dose based on his weight, let alone a qualified HCP.

CA need to sit down and stick to what they're good at. Hun Hugz and pointless platitudes.

totallyliterally · 10/07/2017 15:42

I just made the mistake of looking at replies to the live twitter feed. Jesus. Christ.

What planet are these people on?

HouseOfMouse · 10/07/2017 15:42

MissHaversham - or with the court, apparently.

Nquartz · 10/07/2017 15:43

Kipperbang wholeheartedly agree. It's horrendous

cjt110 · 10/07/2017 15:43

questioning it now. Joining a bit late - what are they questioning?

LapinR0se · 10/07/2017 15:43

CA are up to 1000 posts now on their Facebook page, the latest of whI have are saying that GOSH is paying off the judge.

muckypup73 · 10/07/2017 15:44

If I wereGosh,Iwould say heres your child take him and leave them to it,let them buy their own ventilator and equipment.
