I'm trying to keep top of my mind the rock bottom despair the parents must feel and that lashing out is understandable.

But that they have caused this poor child's suffering to continue endlessly, fruitlessly is very hard to stomach.

And then to have caused such pain and disruption to the staff, patients and their families at GOSH.

And finally to have brought out this appalling frenzy where the whole legal process is being questioned - ffs asking a judge to justify himself.

I'm appalled.

Mulberry72 · 10/07/2017 15:17

Absolutely Logical, I agree with everything you've said over these threads!

totallyliterally · 10/07/2017 15:17

They've now quoted where Connie said about the 10%

stitchglitched · 10/07/2017 15:17

That twitter feed is interesting. Quite a few picking up on the parents QC contradicting Connie's own claims. Also the CA fanatics ranting about the long date and blaming GOSH /the judge have gone quiet since someone pointed out the parents own lawyer requested that date. Really hoping that some will start to question their position but sadly I think CA et al are just too entrenched now.

DarthMaiden · 10/07/2017 15:17

Here we go...

They are calling out the interviews.

Did anyone else see that split second tweet from Rosenburg that was pulled almost as soon as it was posted? It looked something about Gollop challenging the parents' statement of the 10% in public broadcast.

GinSoakedTwitchyPony · 10/07/2017 15:19

GOSH QC getting in about the things said to the media.

Stopnamechanging · 10/07/2017 15:19

Ah, they were threatened with judicial review by the Gard legal team, hence had to go back to court?

Ellie56 · 10/07/2017 15:20

Judge is saying he won't allow a complete rehearing.

kungfupannda · 10/07/2017 15:20

Counsel may well have said that the parents 'do not make that claim.' I.e. They won't make that claim as part of their formal case, even though she said it ad hoc when talking to the media.

The whole situation is horrific. I keep hoping I'll wake up to news that the poor little boy has passed away as peacefully as possible. I hope the judge insists on a short timetable.

11122aa · 10/07/2017 15:21

I can see the army protesting outside the Judges house or something stupid.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 10/07/2017 15:22

I feel so sad reading some of the comments made by CA - such a chunky monkey, he's growing so he's healthy, hes bigger than my one year old - how can they not see that he is so chunky because he is swollen, not because he is healthy? He looks puffy and desperately sick, surely that much is obvious? The poor boy. It's cruel and wicked. He isn't living, and the comparisons to Stephen Hawking are ridiculous.

stitchglitched · 10/07/2017 15:22

Wow some of CA are starting to question what the real truth is and why the 10% figure is being denied by Armstrong, and why the parents aren't showing their evidence. Shock

BoreOfWhabylon · 10/07/2017 15:22

I am incredulous. And becoming angry.

We have all seen/heard assertions from Charlie's mother, pastor et al that are now being contradicted by her legal representatives.

Fully expecting the next development to be that the family will sack the (pro bono) lawyers.

kungfupannda · 10/07/2017 15:23

Cross posted. Looks like counsel did make that bizarre statement. Unusual for senior counsel to make such a basic blunder if that's what it is.

MissHavishamsleftdaffodil · 10/07/2017 15:23

Am reading CA Facebook page comments as they appear.... its unbeliveable how uninformed, unaware of what legal process is or how it works they are. Just no clue!

RideOn · 10/07/2017 15:23

Just in reply to ceto, you can be ventilated via a tracheostomy.

11122aa · 10/07/2017 15:24

I agree the Parents will dimiss their legal team. That could also string the battle out

Ellie56 · 10/07/2017 15:24

GOSH QC says alleged new evidence is not new.

LogicalPsycho · 10/07/2017 15:24

Thank you Nquartz, Stopnamechanging and Maudlinmaud for the Flowers Smile
I think I'm focusing a lot on this as it stops me focusing on me IYSWIM. I remember the Charlotte Wyatt case had a similar effect, I was pregnant with DS at that time and it plays on your mind an awful lot more.
Unfortunately I don't see any answer to this soon.
Either Charlie needs to go have this treatment now, or he needs to be allowed to die in peace. Poor, poor boy.

Stopnamechanging · 10/07/2017 15:25

Do you think that the barmy army might start to realise that they have been played a bit now?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 10/07/2017 15:25

Judge is saying he won't allow a complete rehearing

Thank Christ for that

And I really don't know why their counsel is lying in court about their "10% claim" ... how does he think that will help?

LapinR0se · 10/07/2017 15:26

CA is full of people saying "what about the 10%...?"

ShatnersWig · 10/07/2017 15:26

The scales will fall from some people's eyes now, I think. Those with any intelligence, anyway.
