Namechanged for this long so bear with me .. so today I was shopping with my dd picked up too much stuff so called her grandad (my dad )who lives close by to help me back home we entered a shop to pick DD up a toy and in the store she started creating cos she wanted said toy . there was loads of customers& everything got a bit flustered and her grandad lifted her out the pram and was playing with her on this toy whilst I paid ... as we exited the store I noticed a wet patch on his shorts by his private parts i said to myself he must have wet himself (sorry to be graphic ) but i kept looking all the way down the road and the stain had tried a white sort of colour that's no wee colour
.the wet patch was not there before we went into the store and my head was turned for a few minutes now I'm.panicking could he have done something to my dd in the minute I had my head turned or is there and innocent explanation to this?? I can't calm down and don't know what to do next please help

Google is your friend here OP. Use it. I found 12 non-sex reasons already

Swallalala · 28/06/2017 17:10

Can we not bash the OP she's obviously worried even if it seems like quite the jump to make.

OP have you had any cause for concern before with your Dad?

Redglitter · 28/06/2017 17:11

So you honestly believe that in a public and busy place when he was only ever a few feet away from you he could have abused your daughter?? Really?? Ffs that's some leap to make.

JustMumNowNotMe · 28/06/2017 17:12

Your poor Dad Sad

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 28/06/2017 17:13

That is some conclusion to jump to.

Would he really leave evidence there for all to see if he's guilty of anything.

PantPlot · 28/06/2017 17:13

Today 17:06 Phosphorus
I'd say this is one of those threads where people should be wary of sharing

Indeed.

maddiegrayson5555 · 28/06/2017 17:13

Swallalala .no no concerns before that's why I didn't think anything of him taking her out the pram ect .

WannaBe · 28/06/2017 17:13

Surely you should be going to the police not coming on to mn to ask a bunch of faceless strangers on the internet to cast judgement?

And agree with a PP, do be careful of sharing people....

Have reported this thread so that MN HQ can hopefully point you in the direction of some useful resources ;)

papayasareyum · 28/06/2017 17:14
Hmm
RebelRogue · 28/06/2017 17:15

Yeah...no.

twattymctwatterson · 28/06/2017 17:16
Hmm
Birdsgottaf1y · 28/06/2017 17:16

Did he put a baby wipe in his pocket? I've done that and they dry white.

ZestyLimeAndKiwi · 28/06/2017 17:16

wannabe the police? Can you imagine the fallout if these were unfounded claims.

maddiegrayson5555 · 28/06/2017 17:17

Wannabe Please don't berate me I just needed somewhere to vent & perhaps see some sense . That's why I said I don't know what to do and could there be an innocent explanation for it . I dont know what to think .

OP posts:
Redglitter · 28/06/2017 17:18

If you've had no concerns why suddenly now think he's a paedophile because of a mark on his trousers. I can't believe you'd jump to that conclusion about your dad so easily

Yukbuck · 28/06/2017 17:18

I'm sorry you're feeling this way op. I'm sure it is all totally innocent. Especially since you were in a public place. I personally wouldn't jump to that conclusion but I can 100% see why you have, given your past. And actually, I have a distant family member who had child sexual images on his computer and he would have been the last person I would have expected.
What did he say when you mentioned the wet patch?

SheSaidHeSaid · 28/06/2017 17:18

Sorry to be graphic but if it was cum it's be inside his trousers, not on the outside.

DearMrDilkington · 28/06/2017 17:19

Did you ask him?

DearMrDilkington · 28/06/2017 17:21

Sorry to be graphic but if it was cum it's be inside his trousers, not on the outside

I was going to say the same thing but wasn't sure how to word it. I'm not sure how it'd get on the outside unless his tackle was out, in which case somebody in the shop would have seen.

maddiegrayson5555 · 28/06/2017 17:21

The thing is he wasn't carrying food or anything .neither was she and she had no gunk on her . He might not have "touched her. he could still have been turned on if he was a peado .

DearMrDilkington · 28/06/2017 17:22

I really think your over thinking this op.

TomHardysLeftFoot · 28/06/2017 17:22

In the nicest possible way, OP, I think you're very traumatised and need to seek some professional help. This is not a remotely normal way of thinking.

alpacasandwich · 28/06/2017 17:22

OP. Has your Dad been around your DD before?

When people say that abusers are opportunistic, I don't think they're generally referring to a public place like a toy shop with a parent close by.

You sound very anxious and I'm sorry for what you've been through in the past.

It is highly likely that there is an innocent explanation for this wet patch.

ILostItInTheEarlyNineties · 28/06/2017 17:23

I really doubt that this would happen in a busy shop when you turned your back for a minute. I think you need to calm down and not let your own past experiences of abuse colour your judgement.
If you have any cause for concern with regards to your dad's behaviour towards his granddaughter then don't leave her alone with him.

DearMrDilkington · 28/06/2017 17:23

Your poor father..
