Namechanged for this long so bear with me .. so today I was shopping with my dd picked up too much stuff so called her grandad (my dad )who lives close by to help me back home we entered a shop to pick DD up a toy and in the store she started creating cos she wanted said toy . there was loads of customers& everything got a bit flustered and her grandad lifted her out the pram and was playing with her on this toy whilst I paid ... as we exited the store I noticed a wet patch on his shorts by his private parts i said to myself he must have wet himself (sorry to be graphic ) but i kept looking all the way down the road and the stain had tried a white sort of colour that's no wee colour
.the wet patch was not there before we went into the store and my head was turned for a few minutes now I'm.panicking could he have done something to my dd in the minute I had my head turned or is there and innocent explanation to this?? I can't calm down and don't know what to do next please help

Genuine question, are you seeking help for your anxiety? It takes a lot to shock me but if this is real then your poor, poor dad. What a conclusion to jump to.

doowapwap · 28/06/2017 17:58

What a really horrible thread, for many many reasons.

tinytemper66 · 28/06/2017 17:58

What a sad thread.

Haffiana · 28/06/2017 17:59

OP, I don't want this to sound judgemental, but you seem to have a problem with anxiety. It can be hell to live with and it can make it hard to make clear judgement calls.

Quite apart from the issue with your dad, wouldn't it be a good idea to seek out counselling?

nina2b · 28/06/2017 18:00

Weirdness. Just that.

nina2b · 28/06/2017 18:01

ShmooBooMoo · 28/06/2017 18:01

I think rather than accuse/ confront your dad who's never given you cause for concern, you should see your GP. Your anxiety is making you irrational.

maddiegrayson5555 · 28/06/2017 18:03

I am real but if you don't think so then sorry

OP posts:
LagunaBubbles · 28/06/2017 18:03

He might not have "touched her. he could still have been turned on if he was a peado

You need help OP, you really do.

ShmooBooMoo · 28/06/2017 18:04

If you are real, see your doctor then! You could ruin an innoccent man's life and destroy your and your DD's relationship with him...for nothing!

RebornSlippy · 28/06/2017 18:05

Jesus. As per your request, you are being stupid. Get help.

ghostyslovesheets · 28/06/2017 18:05

I'm sorry but no one here CAN help you - no one can give you and answer - you need to ask your dad

I think you are possibly projecting your own experiences and it's sad to say that sexual abuse 'trolls' are fairly regular - hence the response you might be getting

You need to talk to your dad and get some support for yourself

Thebluedog · 28/06/2017 18:06

It's a massive leap. It could be a number of things, he wet himself, she wee'd on him, nappy leakage or she needed the loo, sick, something in the store etc etc.

I think you prob need to talk to someone about your anxiety, or how to approach and discuss with your Dad.

Chamonix1 · 28/06/2017 18:07

Whilst I do think OP has jumped to some pretty serious conclusions here some of the "he's your dad for goodness sake"
"Your poor dad!!"
"Do you really think your father would do this" comments annoy me.
Of course MOST of us would never in a million years believe our parents or someone we love dearly would ever hurt our children on purpose it DOES happen. It happened to a close friend of mine, she was abused by her grandad from a very young age and it went amiss because who an earth would ever expect their wonderful father to abuse their grandchild.
It's absolutely awful and unlikely but does happen.
Abusers tend not to stamp in sexually attracted to children on their foreheads.

OP, if you are genuine hopefully there's a perfectly reasonable explanation.

Borangeistheneworange · 28/06/2017 18:07

There many different reasons as PPs have said. The one you fear is the least likely.

I also think your past has affected you more than you realise. Please try and calm down and seek some help.

Are MNHQ in the pub as number of people have reported this thread

SparklyMagpie · 28/06/2017 18:08

OP you need to seek some help

maddiegrayson5555 · 28/06/2017 18:08

Tost it could not have been food or milk or anything none of us had any food or drink she was in clothes straight out the laundry she has not wet wipes on her or anything This wasn't actually a toy shop again I can't say what kind of shop identifying but we got a toy in there. so no other children aound .the wet patch was not there when we went in it was when we came out

OP posts:
RhubardGin · 28/06/2017 18:09

You seem pretty determined that your dad is a peadophile.

Has there been any other red flags that have made you come to this conclusion?

Sorry but if that had been me in that situation my first thought would never have been that my dad may have sexually abused my DD. And all this happened in the space of two minutes?

SparklyMagpie · 28/06/2017 18:09

Why did you have to keep looking at your "dad's" crotch?

SheSaidHeSaid · 28/06/2017 18:11

Are MNHQ in the pub as number of people have reported this thread

Possibly!. It'd be nice to know it's being looked into.

Checkingusername · 28/06/2017 18:12

The fact that the op has been abused should tell every pp on this thread all they need to know.

When I was a child, everyone was a potential abuser to my mother, she was wary and paranoid someone may try it, even our father.

I don't think it's a leap, I think it's op being worried it may just happen to her daughter.

SomeOtherFuckers · 28/06/2017 18:12

DS could've stood on something and when he picked her up the shoe wiped it on him ...

maddiegrayson5555 · 28/06/2017 18:13

And it was were his private parts are I could see a shape . It had definately leaked from there . I'm not saying there is not an innocent explanation I said I wanted to be told I was being silly. but this definately happended .and im not making more of this than I need to .

OP posts:
Sleephead1 · 28/06/2017 18:14

You where stressed he was looking after her maybe bouncing her around ect maybe she was a tiny bit sick ive seem it happen to older children when being bounced ect. It really could be anything and this is your dad who you say has never given you reason to think this. You say it wasnt there before but would you have noticed i mean i dont suspect you look in that area on your dad much. Honestly there is no way you can get someone to accuse your dad of that and then just return to normal
