The Beckhams... again

I would have expected the Beckhams to have learnt their lesson about using charitable causes for shameless self-promotion after the leaked UNICEF emails earlier in the year, but evidently nothing has changed

I was sickened to see young 'photographer' Brooklyn Beckham using the Grenfell catastrophe to promote his new book. These people are quite literally shameless

His photos are bad, so at least he will sell them doing this and make money for charity.

I can’t say my heart bleeds too much for the Beckham brood aside from thinking their parents were a bit too eager to get them in the spotlight at a young age (didn't one of them release a Christmas single last year?). But lots of kids of big celebrities go off and find their niche without hype and fanfare. David Bowie’s son Duncan Jones for example. And then there must be scores of them who pursue careers that don’t garner any limelight at all.

Yes, OP, I get you. He is hanging into the parental coat tails - again. If he really really wants to genuinely do this noble thing, he should do it anonymously.

So he's a "photographer" these days? Thought he was going to a footballer?

P.S. Not "jealous", either, by the way. Lol

But Quack lots of kids of famous people have survived all that and chosen to live in the shadows. They do have the choice, believe me. When they're Brooklyn's age they have the choice to lead a normal life, refuse to take part in events, etc. But most want to keep on, craving for attention, gaining Instagram followers. So hard as I try, I can't feel bad for them. I really can't.

One of the Beckham brood was a MODEL for Burberry! Wow. How did he manage that?

Jealous is the wrong word. There is something wrong with grown adults Taking the piss out of him the way some of you are.

No sympathy for him he has the means to study and then work as an apprentice under a talented photographer. He could have learnt his craft.

hard fair enough. It's still hard for a lot of them though and clearly if you parents lives are in the public eye a lot then so will yours which makes it harder.

Wonder what his academic results were like? I would have expected him to walk the Oxbridge interview.

Sour grapes and nasty comments about a just 18 year old and children.

The parents have raised seemingly good kids who attend school and havnt gone off the rails with drugs abs drink like other celeb kids.

Yes they have a lovely lifestyle that David and Victoria have worked their socks off to provide.

They have brought their kids to do work be it modelling or photography and donate to charity!
What utter bastards!! Hmm

What the fuck are your academic results nina yes none cares just like no one normal cares about the Beckhams kids academic results.

So spiteful

I actually don't get the hype around the Beckhams, so I'm certainly not in the Beckham Appreciation Society!

I just think this is a really nice gesture from Brooklyn.

Ah. Have done a Google search....Sat his A Levels, apparently, but the results are yet to come. In the autumn he hopes to study some fashion thing at a university. Hmmm

My academic results, waitforitfdear, were excellent. Smile

Why do you wonder about his academic results Nina?
Not hoping he's a bit thick by any chance?

Report
viques · 27/06/2017 12:49

How old is he? 17 /18. Still growing, still maturing. he has led a strange life, huge privilege, huge public intrusion, myriad snippy comments about his family which he must be aware of. cut the kid some slack.

waitforitfdear · 27/06/2017 12:50

Well That's nice for you but no one cares except you really do they?

Why on earth are you googling a random 18 year olds results you don't know?

Why on earth do you care?

QuackPorridgeBacon · 27/06/2017 12:51

I'm baffled. So because he is a celebrity he has to have amazing results? So if he doesn't has he pissed about it maybe he's just not smart enough. Not everyone is great at exams but a lot of people are great with their hands etc.

nina2b · 27/06/2017 12:52

Well, my university cared and my employers have all cared, funnily enough! Can't think why.

waitforitfdear · 27/06/2017 12:52

Bizarre I suppose those who do obsess about celebs watch all the bollocks like Kardashians and read Heat mag.

Good grief

Sure but why would you care or google a Radom kids academic results?

The point is: fame cannot buy you a good brain. Smile
Surely, that is quite easy to comprehend?

Report
QuackPorridgeBacon · 27/06/2017 12:54

Nina are you deliberately being thick? Yes employers care but what about the people who just don't do well at exams? There are people out there that fail you know.. so because he is a celebrity he has to be amazing? So only people with money and fame are smart?
