Asking because I can't get my head round this.... please help!! DH works away a lot, nice hotels etc ... emptying his trousers for washing this evening ( yep I'm living the dream) & found his room paper key for yesterday's hotel stay - no of people on room is 2 confused.... he called me to say hi last night but from the hotel gardens as reception 'awful' in hotel room.... am I being suspicious or is it deserved?? Really want to call hotel as I've kept room key etc but how can I find out how many people stayed etc etc ?? Any ideas ?? sad

OP posts:

No one can say with any certainty what he has done or not done. I don't think posters saying it's not suspicious are doing the OP any favours.

The OP has accepted his story and believes him. There is no other overwhelming evidence other than the bloody salads that anything is going on. How are people pushing for his guilt doing the OP any favours? No one person on this thread knows the DH better than the OP and she has decided to believe him. That should be the end of the matter.

CherylVole · 24/06/2017 10:31

good god, this is STILL GOING

ComputerUserNotTrained · 24/06/2017 10:32

Some posters are disappointed when other's lives don't turn to shit for their validation and entertainment.

Chops2016 · 24/06/2017 10:53

Honestly this all sounds very claustrophobic. I mean this kindly but can you imagine being in a relationship where you have to justify what you ate while you are away? I can understand the DH getting angry when confronted - especially if this kind of "checking up" behaviour is regular - it would drive me insane. I'd be nervous telling my partner anything in case I got a detail wrong and then was confronted with some evidence to "catch me out".

He may have cheated, he may not. Only he knows. If you have accepted his explanation then you need to let it drop. If you don't trust him then you should leave, for the sake of your sanity if nothing else, going through life always looking over your shoulder is no way to live.

I still think a frank conversation about your feelings and insecurities is in order (without accusing him of anything).

ambereeree · 24/06/2017 12:32

Totally reasonable i have two salads and two mains when I'm away forr work because i like something in each and order a juice and wine. I don't finish any but I'm not paying and maybe DH does the same

Burnett · 24/06/2017 13:15

Was he travelling with a colleague? Hotels are shite, maybe he had a meal with fellow guest? I was once invited to join a table of ten in a hotel because I was on my own and they were all aware for work. I checked in to a hotel once with my MDs daughter she worked with us for a while, they booked us one double room, I had to explain 1, I am married, 2, she has a boyfriend, 3, she is the MDs daughter, 4, what the feck did you not understand about TWO rooms......fortunately they found another room, but equally we trusted each other as did our other halves and where good where good friends....is it not about trust? Who do you think he bumped into for a night of action?

LittleBeautyBelle · 24/06/2017 13:23

I went to bed on page 11 when Op's dh, confronted with another woman's earrings in his wash bag and a receipt for 2 dinners of prawns and steak and champagne, had confessed to an affair with a woman from work because she was young and feisty and challenging and could bear him a son. Today I wake up on page 22 and dh has not cheated at all and just ate 2 salads.

What is going on?????

I guess I have to catch up reading. Ugh!!

PurpleDaisies · 24/06/2017 13:24

Wrong thread little. Grin

CrownOfPrawns · 24/06/2017 13:39

"He said on the phone that he wasn't that hungry though."

Not hungry enough to eat a heavy carby meal, perhaps, especially in a heatwave, but the salad was light and it was nice so he had a second helping, as anyone might do at home.

LittleBeautyBelle · 24/06/2017 13:46

Thank you Purple !! Blush

birdsdestiny · 24/06/2017 13:51

Crikey Little , you may just have thrown the cat among the pigeons there. Grin

nigelsbigface · 24/06/2017 14:01

I don't think he ate two salads op. And I don't think his behaviour is helping him convince you if he is innocent.

Hope you are ok.

LittleBeautyBelle · 24/06/2017 16:46

I was quite confused there for a while searching through the pages and everything haha birds

GrumpyOldBag · 24/06/2017 16:54

So, he had a salad-y starter and a salad as a main course.

That does make sense.

HildaOg · 24/06/2017 17:14

Honestly, people think someone can't have a salad starter and salad main... They must be cheating? It's summer, lots of people eat light in the heat.

ShiftyLookingBadger · 24/06/2017 17:24

I feel like I should do a shot everytime I see the word 'salad'

EZA15 · 24/06/2017 17:33

I'll start shifty ..... 'salad'

EZA15 · 24/06/2017 17:34

little can you point me in the direction of that thread?!

LittleBeautyBelle · 24/06/2017 17:38

EZA15, I think it's called Mystery Earrings. still can't believe I got mixed up. Apparently I was reading it but didn't comment. So when I went to threads "I'm On" this one came up because I apparently commented on this one even though I don't remember doing so Easter Smile

EZA15 · 24/06/2017 18:33

Thanks, just read the thread - wish I hadn't asked..

aquashiv · 24/06/2017 18:54

Wtf men can't eat two salads? Isn't that emm a tad sexist especially in this heat.

Men wI'll only drink wine if they're shaggy but beer if not.

snowflake25 · 24/06/2017 18:55

wtf - how is this thread still trundling along...one person puts the skids on it, and the next someone says and about that second 'salad'! Is anyone else feeling seriously vexed???

Op is staying with dh, unless we hear otherwise and then this thread will blow up..

littlebird77 · 24/06/2017 19:05

We are on pg 22 and still talking about salads?
Someone put the tattered thread out of its misery ffs

CremeFresh · 24/06/2017 19:17

Shall we try to fill the thread up by each typing the word 'salad' over and over ?

littlebird77 · 24/06/2017 19:22

Maybe we can go back to wine, I would find that much more interesting, how about tequila!
