To be slightly annoyed at hubby giving a lift to woman with shared hobby

Hubby is taking part in a triathlon in a couple of months time and will be going away for the weekend in our van for the duration of the competition.
He has offered to give a lift to a fellow female competitor who he knows from the local tri club- so trains with occasionally.
Should I feel pissed off about the fact he is travelling to the event with an attractive fit young woman or is it my insecurities kicking in. Incidentally I have young kids who would be bored senseless waiting around for the event hence why we are not going. Thanks X

My husband does triathlons and sometimes gives women lifts. I don't like it: I'm a bit insecure and believe I'm punching above my weight and someone will lure him away. But he's never given me any reason to doubt him so I suck it up.

I have only kicked off once, when a woman that I know really fancies him asked for a lift. I honestly wouldn't put it past her to try it on and the fallout would be ugly all round. So he gave her a lift but took a couple of other friends as well.

if she's so good at Triathlons... make her RUN to the event...

Gemini69 - was that really necessary? There's no evidence this poor woman has done anything wrong except have the temerity to be an athlete while female. Why on earth would you feel the need to be immediately unpleasant?

Christ, this thread is depressing.

Totally agree Haliez. It's depressing how many possible perpetrators of domestic abuse we have on this thread.
