Might get crucified for this but....

She won.

She's had a lot to manage a response and a
Plan to deal with since she became PM.

I didn't vote for her. My partner did.

I feel a bit sorry for her.

Anyone else?

The thing is, no one really knows what she is feeling do they? I think she's socially awkward and out of touch, but I don't think she is evil or malicious. No doubt she thinks she is doing her best for the country. i don't think she actually understands what life is like for ordinary people, like many in the Tory party. i think she is genuinely out of her depth and looks like someone drowning to me. I do feel sorry for actually. No one deserves to be called a murderer, unless they personally murdered someone . I just think she has to go. She's now lost all credibility and is becoming a leper.

I can't stand the way Corbyn is pushing his 'man of the people' act and taking every opportunity he can to slate those he feels are in his way. It does him no credit and makes me suspicious. I was also sickened by Andrea what's her face popping up to meet the victims yesterday. She is obviously trying to look caring in opposition to May because she wants to be the next leader. They all sicken me to be honest and i don't trust any of them. At least Trump isn't in charge in this country. That's about all you can say at the moment. What a mess.

Shockers · 17/06/2017 10:39

It's almost as though she's on a mission of self destruction and she's intent on taking us all with her.

I genuinely don't understand her at all.

Imbeingunreasonable · 17/06/2017 10:42

Scared of terrorism? Pfft I've heard some corkers in my time.

No, she's scared of the reaction she would get from the people she has failed. She's scared of people calling her out on her own shortcomings by branding her a coward (which she is). She's scared of having to own up to the harsh reality that this fire could have and SHOULD have been prevented if the correct measures where in place which her party knew about years ago. People, children have lost their lives for fuck sake! People are angry and grieving. They want and the deserve answers. They deserve to be heard, not ignored. It's like something out the medieval times the way TM treats the mere peasant mortals she is the ruler of. She makes me sick. If she is scared, she deserves to be. She deserves to feel the consequences of her action on some level even just to acknowledge to herself that part her party have played in all of this. If she loses a slight bit of sleep at night due to worrying about public opinion of her, it's the very fucking least she can do. Angry

Blimey01 · 17/06/2017 10:43

Women always get it in the neck much more than men in the same position so that is an element too. I don't like her but she is being ripped to shred because of her gender and social ineptness

^^^^
Nope not true. She wasn't being ripped to shreds before the shambolic electoral campaign she headed. The media was always rather kind to her imo, unlike the treatment of JC which she was quite happy to contribute to. She has bought this on herself, it's nothing to do with her gender.

Imbeingunreasonable · 17/06/2017 10:44

And watching her interview on Newsnight.... fucking hell! Metal Mickey strikes again

Imbeingunreasonable · 17/06/2017 10:49

Whoever posted the comment about TM's gender. Very cynical. Believe me, there's many things the public can and should rip into her for. Her anatomy isn't on that list

Shockers · 17/06/2017 10:49

TBF, Corbyn has always been a man of the people... it's just that the press have never been interested before. He's just doing his job.

Theworldisfullofidiots · 17/06/2017 10:49

She is a 'should' person. Utterly judgemental with little knowledge or fact to back it up. Quick to implement without spending any time understanding the problem. Completely the wrong person to lead a country.
That's why she was unsuccesful in the Home Office and why she is going to be unsuccessful leading the country. She isn't doing what the country needs, sees Brexit as a way of completing what she was unsuccessful at in the Home Office. She isn't brave or sensible. We currently need both.

MonkeylovesRobot · 17/06/2017 10:50

HopefulMog

Not paranoid at all - I shared some of the reasons that the terrorism risk towards the PM may have been elevated. This does not make me paranoid, or even fearful. Knowledgeable, or aware of the situation, perhaps, not paranoid or fearful. Were you in the area yesterday, or Thursday?

"Funny that terrorism put neither the Queen nor her Grandson, and heir to the throne off. Not only did they meet emergency services, but spoke to survivors and their families too. hmm"

Neither the Queen, nor William visited on Thursday; their visits were on Friday - the same day that TM did visit.

Imbeingunreasonable · 17/06/2017 10:51

No one was interested in a scruffy backbench labour mp til 2015. Doesn't mean JC has changed, it just means the media have someone else to scrutinise to sell more papers

MonkeylovesRobot · 17/06/2017 10:53

"She makes me sick."

Not the people who were responsible for the fire? Not all the people who have repeatedly not acted on fire recommendations since 2009 (when actually, the initial recommendations were handed to a Labour government), not the coalition government, not the previous PM. Just TM?

surferjet · 17/06/2017 10:54

I can't wait for Jeremy Corbyn to become PM - nothing bad will ever happen again.

GloriaGilbert · 17/06/2017 10:55

She is extraordinarily tone-deaf. With hindsight, I have no idea how she came to power. I would have thought that her fellow Tory MPs would have seen how limpid she is behind closed doors.

I don't know if I feel sorry for her, but I find it impossible to watch her speak anymore. It's too cringey.

TheEmojiFormerlyKnownAsPrince · 17/06/2017 10:55

The whole thing is just a shambles. It's like some sort of joke country.
Brexit; No one has a clue about what is going to happen. The public are being kept in the dark😞Meeting takes place on Monday fgs! Soft? Hard? It sounds like a boiled egg!
We don't even have a government. Still no Queens speech. Has the stuff with the DUP been resolved, and is it even doable?
I also think she ASD.

My feeling is we need a national government at the moment. The Uk is in chaos. She stood stand down absolutely, but then we may get Boris or Gove🤢

Emma1609 · 17/06/2017 10:56

Don't feel sorry for - remember she took 20000 police officers from us who protect us from violent crime - how can she sleep at night?

Dawndonnaagain · 17/06/2017 10:58

Apologies Monkey.
However, she should have been there, no matter what. I have friends in the area and he informs me that people were aware they could attract 'trouble' and were being as careful as they could be. All communities were working together to ensure the safety of all. Local MPs also managed without the fear of terrorism.

GloriaGilbert · 17/06/2017 11:01

I'm not buying the terrorism argument. She should have been far more present.

MonkeylovesRobot · 17/06/2017 11:03

Dawndonnaagain The threat towards local MPs is very different to the threat towards a current PM though - it's a different risk level.

I agree - I feel she should have been there speaking to residents, however, I understand the reasons why she wasn't. And I am grateful she did listen to security concerns and not put herself, or anyone else at risk. I am glad she at least went to sort out the inquiry / investigation / resources sections.

Imbeingunreasonable · 17/06/2017 11:04

The buck stops with somebody Monkey. She makes me sick the way she has handled the situation by acting like she just couldn't give a shit. She pretends to be a credible leader when she couldn't give a toss and it takes a serious tragedy to make her pay attention to what's going on. I blame the lot of them but she had it highlighted what needed doing to make those buildings safe and it was ignored

GloriaGilbert · 17/06/2017 11:05

She reminds me a lot of Donald Trump right now. She seems desperate to seem strong and capable, and just can't get it right.

She has to go, it's too far gone.

MonkeylovesRobot · 17/06/2017 11:07

"she had it highlighted what needed doing to make those buildings safe and it was ignored"

The 2009 Labour government were the first people who this highlighted to them. Actually.

harderandharder2breathe · 17/06/2017 11:07

FFS I'm sick of all the threads feeling sorry for her!

SHE created this mess! She called an early election, she ran a shambles of a campaign, she and her party refused funding to upgrade tower blocks, she cut police numbers, she triggered article 50.

She made the mess, she needs to deal with it.

Feel sorry for the victims of the fire and the terrorist attacks. Feel sorry for those already affected by her cuts and for those who will be affected by five more years of austerity. But don't feel sorry for the woman behind it all.

OohMavis · 17/06/2017 11:08

This is not because she's a woman. She is not capable, and that has nothing to do with her vagina.
