Not posting this to start a massive politics debate I'm just interested in the above question.

I voted labour, I put something about it on social media and a few older people have commented saying I obviously don't have "brains or life experience as them" & "young ones voting labour don't know what they are getting themselves in for".

I'm hoping I'll be proved wrong.
Not that it matters but I'm late 20s and those who made these comments range between 50-60.

Hope this doesn't come across as ageist, it's not my intention at all Blush

I'm 26 and a labour voter.

Mrskeats · 10/06/2017 11:54

Me and my partner are 51 and we voted labour
Mainly because we care about education and the NHS
Can find no valid reasons to vote for that other shower and we are high earners who would happily pay more tax

Mid 20s! My husband is late 20s and my mum is nearly 60. My dad is mid 60s. We all voted labour. As did fil and Mil who are also same ages as my parents

bluechameleon · 10/06/2017 11:54
  1. I had this at a course I was on on Thursday. The course leader in his 50s was basically saying that all of us delegates who said we were voting labour didn't understand the issues properly. I'm an intelligent, well-educated professional, I just value different things to him!

My dad is 64, voted Labour. As did my 61 year old mum. And my 54 year old auntie and 60 year old uncle and my 25 year old cousin. And a huge number of my friends whose ages range from 20 something to 60 something.

JennyOnAPlate · 10/06/2017 11:56

My parents voted labour too and they're late sixties.

FaceThatLaunchedAThousandShips · 10/06/2017 11:57

I am 60 and voted Labour, DS 36 voted Labour, DD1 34 voted Labour and DD2 almost 18 would have loved to have voted Labour.

DameFanny · 10/06/2017 11:57
  1. My parents in their 70s also voted Labour for the sake of their grandchildren.
