Not posting this to start a massive politics debate I'm just interested in the above question.

I voted labour, I put something about it on social media and a few older people have commented saying I obviously don't have "brains or life experience as them" & "young ones voting labour don't know what they are getting themselves in for".

I'm hoping I'll be proved wrong.
Not that it matters but I'm late 20s and those who made these comments range between 50-60.

Hope this doesn't come across as ageist, it's not my intention at all Blush

EggysMom · 10/06/2017 12:43

48 here, voted Labour - as did OH (same age).
My brother aged 50 voted Labour.

My parents (70s) are Tories. They constantly try to tell us that we don't remember what it was like. As they sit in their £300k house with no health issues, never having found themselves out of work ...

Headofthehive55 · 10/06/2017 12:43

IT was the first time I didn't vote labour!
I think it's more about how you would deal with solutions to problems rather than thinking someone is not worldly wise.
We all would t approach a problem in the same way so it's unlikely that people will vote in the same way.

Jaimx86 · 10/06/2017 12:58

I'm 30 and DP is 24. DM, MIL and FIL are 60 and DF is 65. All voted labour.

FrancesHaHa · 10/06/2017 12:59

42 - as is partner, we both voted labour. My mum is in her 70s and also voted labour.

I've been annoyed about the amount of unpleasantness around, people implying that a) labour voters are gullible, and b) young people are stupid.

It almost matches the amount of people suggesting that those who voted leave last year must be stupid (I say that as a remainer)
