I know she has said she won't but that pretty much means she will if her record is anything to go by! What do you think?

There is a huge moral difference between calling TM a clusterfuck, and taking a cheap poke at a woman with an exemplary parliamentary record who is very obviously sick.

And she isn't 'better'. Word is she is seriously ill, we just haven't been given the details yet. Taking potshots at a seriously ill person is disgusting behaviour.

Sostenueto · 09/06/2017 22:58

Gin omg! Gove lol, he deserves to be locked up with a few teachers.

Where is this 'word'?

Parliament can disagree to terms in the letter. It can be a legal challenge or a challenge calling for another election on grounds the deal with DUP not in the interests of the electorate.

If there is no formal deal then there is no grounds.

What I think will happen is she will have a minority government with DUP carrying on voting with them as they do.

I belong to the Labour Party, and am on their FB, along with a couple of other related groups. Naturally, it's something that is being discussed behind the scenes, and no I will not be providing further information. Just looking at her she is visibly unwell.

Sostenueto · 09/06/2017 23:03

Piglet she seriously won't last long and have you seen what DUP is like?

Sostenueto · 09/06/2017 23:05

Always thought she was this past few months niffler. Thoughts and prayers to her.xx

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 09/06/2017 23:05

She won't. Will a Tory government under another leader? Who knows.

Sostenueto · 09/06/2017 23:07

Tbh if she is seriously ill as someone that is seriously ill myself, I think it is pretty poor that it is being talked about on FB groups .

Until DA makes it public it is no one's business to talk about it. Especially on SM.

I think TM was reasonable to call an election in order to get a bigger majority because she couldn't get cross party consensus on Brexit and from the polls it looked liked she'd be fine.

Imo the problem was her election campaign which was dismal. She needed to be on the debates, hustlings and on social media turned down Woman's hour and Mumsnet. Her pragmatic message to mainly voters of other parties especially UKippers was to lend her their votes so she had a bigger mandate and could get a good deal for the UK during the Brexit talks. This message needed much more exposure than it got but since she wouldn't engage with the events above it was heard enough.
The social care bill was awfully presented and they didn't even tried to clarify it to the general public so even a few days before the election old ladies ring up radio 4 accusing TM of taking away their winter fuel allowance and forcing them to sell up to fund care homes. The whole was sloppy and unresponsive to public concerns.

TM will have to resign once she's steadied the ship, sad really as I think she's much more in touch with the lives of the electorate than your usual Tory leader probably because she's a vicars daughter and really wants to do the right thing by the country

PigletWasPoohsFriend · 09/06/2017 23:09

First paragraph should be bold Shock

Sostenueto · 09/06/2017 23:09

Turbinaria · 09/06/2017 23:09

*Wasn't heard enough

GlitterGlue · 09/06/2017 23:09

Hmm, will she be pushed or step down due to 'illness'?

Either way I reckon she'll be long gone by Christmas.

mayoli · 09/06/2017 23:12

I think she'll fight off resigning for a wee bit longer but eventually she'll have to

TheNiffler · 09/06/2017 23:14

Of course you do, Piglet. But it's fine to slur her and take cheap shots. Fine for the media to denigrate her, and mock her.

You asked, I answered. What people discuss is beyond my control.

Pagwatch · 09/06/2017 23:15

Turbarina,

What exactly was preventing TM negotiating Brexit?
What was the opposition she was facing ? I'd love to hear what it was because there literally wasn't any.

There was no reason what so ever for the election except her desire to secure her own position.

Sostenueto · 09/06/2017 23:15

Crikey Turbinaria how wrong you are. Election as I have said a million times over was nothing to do with brexit. It was to do with the Great Repeal Bill and wanting to decimate labour party so she could push everything through Parliament without any opposition, it was about that and that only. And of course her own political career and love of power but lack of guts in the face of any opposition.

TheNiffler · 09/06/2017 23:15

Sostenueto ❤️

Sostenueto · 09/06/2017 23:18

You just gotta feel sorry for these poor disillusioned Tory votersWink

Sostenueto · 09/06/2017 23:18

Tea break...

christinarossetti · 09/06/2017 23:19

TM couldn't take part in debates because she has nothing of substance to say. She can't think on her feet, doesn't have a clear plan for the future of the Tory party, doesn't know what she's doing about Brexit.

The only thing that she seemed sure about was that she's not Jeremy Corbyn.
