Tory's win, but 314

OP posts:
Etaina · 08/06/2017 22:07

Fingers and everything crossed that this is right! This is going to be an exciting night!

waitforitfdear · 08/06/2017 22:09

Up all night how exciting

CaptainMarvelDanvers · 08/06/2017 22:09

My heart wouldn't be able to take staying up all night, whatever way it goes. I kind of resigned myself to the Tories winning but a hung parliament would be a god send.

doubleshotespresso · 08/06/2017 22:09

Brilliant- I have been praying TM would get knocked off her perch....

chinlop · 08/06/2017 22:10

they underestimated the Tory seats by 22 last time. Could be significant if it's the same margin of error

This. However, over the last 3-4 elections, they've generally been pretty accurate, on average to within 10-15 seats. Which means tonight is going to be nail-biter, because the prediction for this election is 12 seats below the majority.

Wow.

The80sweregreat · 08/06/2017 22:10

Hung parliament will be interesting.

John4703 · 08/06/2017 22:10

There is hope :-)
June might mean the end of May

chinlop · 08/06/2017 22:11

It's looks like the conservatives are going to win. I can go to bed. What's the point of staying up ? Disappointed with the last election result, disappointed with the Brexit vote. I just can't be arsed anymore.

The exit polls are predicting a hung parliament. You can't go to bed, sorry. This is about as close to not knowing what's gonna happen as we could get.

PacificDogwod · 08/06/2017 22:11

Gawd, I hate exit polls!

Brittbugs80 · 08/06/2017 22:11

Exit polls are close to accurate. They usually underestimate.

Cons can run a Government on this number but it would be impossible to get anything passed through Parliament.

JC has already said he will refuse a coalition so Cons will have to persuade someone else to join, Lib Dems would give them their majority or SNP. The last time it was a hung parliament, it ruined Lib Dems and bolstered Cons.

back2worktoday · 08/06/2017 22:11

Its only exit polls. Hmm
I think it will be better for labour than the exit polls are suggesting.
Im not going to be able to sleep

UrsulaPandress · 08/06/2017 22:12

I agree she will resign if these results are correct.

I do think she wanted out anyway.

saoirse31 · 08/06/2017 22:12

Well done Corbyn. Disaster for May, even if she struggles to pm, she'll be gone by next election

Birdsbeesandtrees · 08/06/2017 22:12

I thought they had a new method for correcting the silent Tory underestimating now ?

fanfrickintastic · 08/06/2017 22:14

Fingers crossed. That would be the best I could have hope for!

Mrsmadevans · 08/06/2017 22:15

why will May have to resign if the polls are true

PacificDogwod · 08/06/2017 22:15

Yes, I too think that TM wants out.

MrsLupo · 08/06/2017 22:16

Oh yeah, baby! It all comes down to the marginals...

angelcakerocks · 08/06/2017 22:16

If JC weren't in charge labour would have roundly won imo

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 08/06/2017 22:17

I've never been asked and I don't know anyone who has

Marmite27 · 08/06/2017 22:17

The last exit polls were way out.

I was asked on my way out. I lied. Ours will definitely be wrong by a margin of at least one.

I don't agree with exit polls. I think they're bloody stupid.

Iwannasnack · 08/06/2017 22:18

Assuming there's no coalitions does anyone know what would happen?
Would it be a minority government struggling to get bills through?

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 08/06/2017 22:18

I was going to bed. I don't think I can now.

SallyCanWait · 08/06/2017 22:18

I'm absolutely shattered but really want to see this unfold live. Brew

LastGirlOnTheLeft · 08/06/2017 22:18
