Sinn Fein are gaining in England as well if you like that sort of thing. Whatever floats your boat.

AngeloMysterioso · 09/06/2017 02:47

I actually feel sorry for Nick Clegg.

Disinterested · 09/06/2017 02:47

Can anybody explain what the current numbers mean please? Blush

metspengler · 09/06/2017 02:49

Basically, nothing yet, it's all guesswork until later on.

metspengler · 09/06/2017 02:56

"Recunt" ... the BBC is the best place to see newsreaders drop the c bomb Confused

Clandestino · 09/06/2017 03:11

Jezza's having his big speech now with the failed candidates having to look distinguished while listening to his party speech 😁

Clandestino · 09/06/2017 03:12

Watching Sky News. There comes the irrelevant woman the Daily Mail have already declared history.

Mysteriouscurle · 09/06/2017 03:36

Grin at Mr Fishfinger in Tim Farron's constituency. Usually I have given up and gone to bed by now but its just so exciting

The80sweregreat · 09/06/2017 04:20

Poor cleggy, i liked him.

Mysteriouscurle · 09/06/2017 04:23

trixymalixy · 09/06/2017 04:47

Oh god. Joanna cherry held onto her seat.

metspengler · 09/06/2017 04:55

Amber Rudd won by about 300 seats.

The80sweregreat · 09/06/2017 04:56

Rudd is in.

metspengler · 09/06/2017 05:18

Votes, not seats. I really should have slept. Work in a couple of hours.

SquidgeyMidgey · 09/06/2017 06:00

I expected this but hoped against it. The surge in new voters was always going to be a majority of Labour as traditionally Conservatives will be ready and waiting for an election.

I'm not sure what we will end up with in government assuming the smaller parties who forswore forming coalitions actually stick to their word.

It might not be a bad thing to have a minority government through Brexit but I don't think I really believe that. I think the most likely outcome is short-term back stabbing and jostling, and possibly yet another election before the end of the year.

UrsulaPandress · 09/06/2017 06:24

I think we might all be going to hell in a handcart.

ARumWithAView · 09/06/2017 06:26

Ursula the past year's felt like we're going to hell on an express train, so the handcart is most welcome.

histinyhandsarefrozen · 09/06/2017 06:28

Arum Grin

It's a good result.

scaryteacher · 09/06/2017 06:53

Tories plus DUP outweigh the others without Sinn Fein (just).

There's still a few more. Tories are predicted 319 so DUP would give them enough.

UrsulaPandress · 09/06/2017 07:52

Not another election please!

PacificDogwod · 09/06/2017 08:04

What a fascinating result!

Whatever now happens, the election has clearly NOT resulted in what TM hoped for.
